Egg White Powder in NZ?

Friends of mine in the UK have been taking Egg White Powder instead of Whey protein as a post-workout shake.

One scoop gives 40g of protein which is much more than Whey.

I've had a look around Auckland shops for Egg White Powder - can't seem to find it.

Anyone know if its available here?

Egg white protein is normally about 80% protein so if it's providing 40g protein per scoop it must be using a 50g scoop. Typically most whey protein powders use a 30g serve and are anywhere between 76-92% protein. You could use a bigger serve with whey if your protein needs are higher.

Have you been to a proper sports nutrition store? The majority of sports nutrition stores in Auckland stock egg whte powder.

Whey's a better source of protein than egg white though, especially post workout and tends to be more economical than egg, so there's probably not much advantage to it for you unless you have problems with whey, or want to use them together.
