Subway Diet

Hey guys and gals

I really need to kickstart my diet. At the moment Im training for mass. Im 1.76m tall, and weigh 103kg. Bodyfat is lingering around 14%

This is my workout routine -

Mon - Upper Body

Tues - Cardio

Wed - Lower Body

Thur - Upper Body/ Cardio

Fri - Rest

Sat - Lower Body

Sun - Cardio

This is my daily diet

Breakfast - Double Protein Shake

Banana

Lunch - 1 x Footlong Turkey and Ham Subway on Wheat bread

1 x Footlong Pork Riblet Subway on Wheat Bread

(yes I still get the Cheese and two sauces)

Afternoon Tea - Double Protein Shake

Protein Bar

Dinner - Usually two or three large servings of Meat and three veg, like a whole chicken, mashed potatoes and Steamed veges

Late Snack - Protein Shake, Wholemeal Toast

I take Universal Animal Stak supplements, Horleys Xtreme Ripper Factor Thermogenics and Mega NO Blast Creatine. I also Drink approx 4L+ of Water per day

I am a Technician who spends all day everyday on the road, so I figured Subway was a decent way of getting nutrients. I know Im missing out on meals before lunch, Im thinking of having cereal and perhaps a protein bar for morning tea, Im just not a morning eater lol

Probably worth investing in a lunchbox and a 12v fridge for the van though huh?

So I guess Im asking Would it be advisable to drop the 'Subway' diet, or can I keep following it until I start cutting at the end of October bearing in mind my goals are to gain weight, perhaps another 3-4kg of LBM in the next couple of months.

Im pretty amateur at nutrition lol

103kgs you must be fairly big already.....

which could explain how you eat 2 footlongs for lunch, thats quite a feed, and expensive too!

I figured If I wanted to gain weight I had to eat at the Weight I wanted to be. ie when I was 90kg I ate like I was 100kg. Now Im over that I eat like Im 110kg, actually probably more like 120kg lol. And yes I spend like $160per week at Subway. You should see my subcard balance though \:D/

I'm surprised no one has mentioned your breakfast.

Where are the oats or weetbix or similar whole grains? I'd start by monstering some of those and reducing your lunchtime sub to one footlong with double meat. The double meat is key to the protein:carb ratio.

Just noticed the "not a morning eater" thing.

I never was, but got used to it over time. You might find it easier to down proper food in the morning if you improve your diet a bit and get rid of the thermos.

Something that's REALLY easy to eat in the mornings: pour a chocolate protein shake over weetbix. Delicious.

If you're going to eat subway why not eat the good ones? Turkey and Ham? Pork Riblet? Those would be some of the worst ones you could choose.

And what's the thermo for? You should be getting enough of a stimulant kick from the MegaNo Blast, there's no logic to using a thermo when trying to gain mass.

You're pretty big already at 103kg and 14% (88.5kg LBM) at 1.76 tall - unless you're on the sauce or something I'm not sure your goal of another 3 or 4kg lbm in two months following your current diet is very realistic.

No Im not on juice. Im reasonably big naturally. Ive been trying to get bigger, and lose bodyfat at the same time. The Thermo's came free with the Horleys Ripped Factor Protein shakes so I thought Id give them a try. Guess you cant do both at the same time huh? Freaking diuretics! Ill forget them. Makes me go to the toilet 20 times a day anyway!

Yeah Im definately gonna start to crank out some breakfast. But the general consensus is I can continue on the Subway lunch, just hit it with double meat and make it a healthier option, no cheese and minimal sauce :shifty:

Thanks guys

Is ripped factors the protein you use in the morning, afternoon tea and night, for lean mass gain and fat loss? While eating Subway everyday?

If you can afford to spend $160 a week on Subway, stop wasting your time eating crap and go and see a nutritionist to get your diet sorted out.

No I dont use Horleys Ripped factors Protein, I tried it and didnt like it much. Still got a couple of big tubs. I use Dymatize whey protein. Tastes great just with water.

Moneys not too much of an issue with regards to supplements and meals. I better book in to see a nutritionist aye. Any recommendations around Hamilton???

dude what the hell subway diet to get huge....

get yourself a giant lunchbox and cook up some brown rice and then just add tuna or chicken and vegetables - take that on the road. 8)

as pp processed meats are no go.

Also if your serious about achieving your goals get serious with your supplements and take a mass gain shake. Its cheaper then subway and contains quality carbs (calories). 3 to 4 a day with milk and you have 2000 cals right there...
