Beta-K guinea pig - day 2 - 2 caps 6 am 2 caps 5pm

9 days till comp

AM 1 hour Xtrainer

warm up 90 lunges - 30x3

PM back & bis

Deadlifts 50kgsx12, 60kgsx10 - 4 sets

Bent over BB row 50kgsx10 - 4 sets

Lat pull 70x12, 85x10, 100x10, 100x8

Seated Row 30x12, 35x10, 40x10, 45x10

DB Curls 10kgsx10 - 4 sets

Hamer Curls 10kgsx10, 7.5kgsx10 - 3 sets :(

Cables 18kgsx10 - 4 sets

Rope pulls 21kgsx10 - 4 sets

Bi Mach 40lbsx10 - 3 sets 30lbsx10 - 2 bit sore then

30 min Xtrainer

Food: 1/4 oats+3 egg whites+protein, 8 eggwhites with vege, 100gm kumara+100gm chicken+beans, 100gm chicken, 100gm chicken+beans, protein shake, 8 eggwhites+vege, protein shake

Think I trained quite, good strength considering tired and hungry, no side effects.

Nice work... how many calories does taht come to ?

Are you using diuretics leading up to the show.. are you allowed to use them for whatever fed and class your going for ?

Are your lat pull downs in KGS ??? Thats strong!

whats your bodyweight and bf% up to ?

Man so many questions! I average between 1020-1200 cals per day, sometimes a little more.

Yep diuretics are suggested for prep Diraxtone or NFS Ultra definition from Tuesday up to comp Saturday. Will do water load/deplete and carb deplete and carb load to see how that goes.

I am Open over 55kg Physique Class, heavyweight, but look more like a lightweight :pfft:

Lat pulldowns are in lbs sadly. I can do about 80kgs just not at the moment in my state.

Off season bodyweight is 70-75kgs, Monday 15th weighed in at 65.4kgs, BF well, lets just say not quite single digits yet, but hope to be by next Saturday :wink:

Beta-K day 4

Had 2 at 6am before 1 hour cardio and 2 prior to legs w/o at lunchtime.

Good strong workout considering I'm a space monkey. Managed to push out some 80kg squats, did my 90 walking lunges with 10kg dumbells. No tingling, don't think I get any side effects from these aye. Seems mentally I don't feel like I can do the excercises but the body does them, if that makes sense, less struggle than last week and feeling a bit stronger. Keeping my muscle for comps :pray:

Hey biggurl,

Any reason you're having half servings instead of the 4 capsules twice a day?

A half serve might be a bit on the light side for getting the full effects, although besides the slight tingling feeling I haven't noticed too much yet at 4 capsules twice a day. Hopefully the second week will bring some noticeable effects.

Beta-K day 6/7

Yesterday just did light weights so didn't notice anything. Today did my 90 lunges (warm up) and super setting/drop sets shoulders/back. Not huge weights this week so hard to gauge strength leading up to comp. I am water loading at the mo and 1 kg heavier than last week :shock: crazy stuff however fat % has droped over 1% so I'm not bothered in water load with weight. Will update again Thursday before I take off.

Start of second week on Beta-K

The tingly feeling has next to disappeared when I take it.

My last workout was good, I got a rep or 2 more on a couple of exercises, I felt like I had a little bit more endurance than usual while strength was still about the same.

Bodyweight is unchanged at the moment, I assume this is because the Kre-Alkalyn is not supposed to put on the water weight like creatine monohydrate.

Day 8 Beta-K

Supersets / Drop sets

17.5kg DB Pressx12 SS with 10kg Flys x12 - 4 sets

Tri Press Drop Set 7plt, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 no break to

Ropes 2x12 x 5 30 second break between

Cables Drop 21kgsx12, 18,. 15, 12, whatever the 2 come after that

Dip Mach L5x12 - 5 sets 30 second break between

Chest & Tris screaming / sweating and sore

ABs side bendy things on a thingyx 25 - 4 times

Total Ab mach 30kgsx25 - 4 times

Weak as a baby, no tingling, had my 8 beta-k today. One thing I notice is big pumps, able to continue on even though I feel like falling in a heap on the floor and feeling really sore but probably just what I have to do at the mo with last week till comp. Will have better indication of strength when back to full heavy weights from Tuesday next week. My sneaky plan is to strive to do 35kg DB Press, 100kg Squats, 65-70kg bench, and some other PBs with 1-2 weeks DETERMINED

Has anyone else had problems when ordering stuff off Hennie's site by credit card? I tried on my home computer and work computer and both times it would stuff up on the secure ordering part.

Yeh, I also had the same problem when I placed an order. I talked to Hennie last week and he said that he will have a new site up and running at the end of the month and there will be no more credit card issues. Hennie, can you please confirm this to us?

End of second week of Beta K

Feels like endurance on weights is slightly improved, especially on higher rep sets.

Weights have gone up a little bit, perhaps there's a connection.

Did rounds on the heavy bag with heavy bag gloves, this is where I think there is the biggest difference. Usually I'd be feeling my shoulders really burning by the end, but it was my cardio that caught up on me first, I don't really recall the burn much at all.

2nd week on the beta-k

Had a good workout today, thought I would be weak as a mo fo as very tired and sore still from Saturday. I had minimal breaks between sets and best press 27.5kg dbs pressx8 and 30kg dbsx8. 45min workout followed by cardio and all good in the hood. Happy with that :grin:
