Whey Protein Isolate recommendations please

I've had to switch to isolates as concentrates were ruining my digestive system.

I currently have a tub of Balance Ion Exchange WPI Vanilla and the same in Chocolate and I'm fairly underwhelmed by the flavours. Is this just what isolates taste like or are there products that are as nice as, say, the pharmasports chocolate or strawberry WPCs?

There should be a fair bit of 3 kilo Ballance WPI tubs around at the moment going cheap. They are changing the packaging apparantly to bins like the Musashi brand.

Vanilla is average, "Caramel Dream" is fucking awefull. Rank shit man, gave me a headache. Even at $95 for 3 KG I couldn't handle it haha.

I've always liked Dymatize Elite WPI, although earlier posts quoted lab tests showing that there apparently wasn't as much protein per serve. That was old info, tho.

Does anyone know of any additional tests that were done to back up wether the first claims about Dymatize were correct/False?

gold standard is pretty good. 87$ for 5lbs. 90% isolate i think

Optimum Gold Standard? 90% isolate? Doubtful. At most I'd say its probably more like 50% isolate. If it was 90% isolate it would have a protein percentage in the high 80's.

Dymatize Elite WPI isn't a whey protein isolate. It may have whey protein isolate written in big letters across the front of the label however this is misleading as it is a blend of wpi, wpc and whey peptides. Since it comes in at anywhere between 74% to 83% protein it can't have that much isolate in it.

I love Syntrax Nectar... but it's so expensive down under.

I just looked this stuff up.. it looks good! What flavours have you tried?

I like the sound of Strawberry-Kiwi drool.gif

I've tried Strawberry Kiwi (nice, and more strawberry than kiwifruit) and Crystal Sky which is a blueberry flavour. They are good. I want to try the orange one, fuzzy navel I think?

Your avatar is making me hungry

Syntrax Nectar, Pure Isolate ,it is what it claims to be, also approved by quite a few barriatric associations in the US.

What does it go for over there?

I've only bought it in the USA and it's like $20 there. I'm in Australia at the moment and it's even more expensive than in NZ
