Looking at finally getting my ass into gear and competing next year. Not sure which comp will get into yet but definatly keen. Currently 123kg at 6' 6". Bodyfat approx 13-15%, have not measured in couple of years. Will do some pics in the next few weeks and post them. Looking to bulk till the end of the year then cut. Hoping to get to the late 120's (KG) then shred up.

Never competed before so going to need some help, posing routines still a mystery to me...

Wow, those are pretty impressive stats, Keats!

Good luck getting ready to compete next year. I'm guessing you will be checking out the NZFBB CNI comp in October as it's just up the road from you in Tauranga? Perhaps this will be your first show next year, or will it be earlier?

After seeing the show last night I am even more determined to compete. Congrats to all that competed last night was a great show to watch. Lucky I had front row seats. Have a good trainer that will help keep on track but any tips would be appreciated. Cheers guys!

So, do you have a comp date in mind? Have you decided which federation?

Thinking NZFBB October next year. Gives me plenty of time to get everything in order and get ripped. No point going in unless I dedicate 100%. Diet will be the hardest, cutting all sugar from diet and coffee (usually love a coffee) all tips would be appreciated.. Thanks guys

Cut out coffee??? I don't, strong and black, just like my men haha joking :pfft: Putting in the hard slog, hours of training, cardio is the easy bit, the diet is the hard part, but mostly in the last few weeks

Either get used to drinkin it black with artificial sweetener (or without if ya hard!!) or just limit it, cut out in final 3-4 weeks.

I reckon the hard bit's not the sugar you see but the sugar you don't... sure, swap to an artificial sweetener for your coffee (if you must!) but it's the added-ins in processed foods that you DON'T see that'll get you.

Watch where High-Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) occurs on the food label...

Diet's why a bb'er can do their supermarket shopping in 15 mins... chicken, tuna, meat, kumara, rice, salads.... job done!
