You should be taking a few of the oils each day Fish and Flax Seed.

I never miss these each day and have had little joint trouble, sometimes Pls will take Glucosamine about 4-5 weeks out depending on their training cycles.

glucosamine/chondroiton combo works well with a fish oil gel

I agree with bj powerL on this one, those are good combinations. The unsaturated fats with omega3's really do help.

I find, if I go too low in fat for too long, my joints notice it and my skin dry's out.

I'd also look at your training e.g careful not to explosively lock out joints, accelerating the weight till just short of lock out is safer. Perhaps adding some constant tension isolation exercises at a medium intensity would also help, Infact good form is one of your best defences from joint pain as weight training in general is a very safe, low imapct sport/form of exercise.

Prolonged warm ups are also helpful, as are extended warm up sets.

I find a BCAA/ Glutamine combo also helps alot too, and definately use that when dieting pre comp and calories are restricted.
