i would have to agree with sam welly, dnt know y everyone hating on cutler....? eevryone lovede him when he used to lose to ronnie, sum ppls brains are fryed.

cutler over ronnie, not that ronnie is anything but impressive, just prefer cutler overall, really loved sergio's mass (25 inch arms - bigger than arnies @ 23 inch, thats some feat for back then), loved arny, who didnt, zane and mentzer were what it was all about where sculpting and posing were concerned, momo and labrada were awesome in their own right as was the striated and vascular hardness of gaspari and munzer...to be honest there arent many "champs" that dont or didnt have what it takes...whether we're talking of a bodybuilder from days gone by like bob paris,flex wheeler etc or the like of tomorrows champs like bigkiwi...they all have something that others dont...and i dont just mean a lot of money and the right contacts!

...all that said, for now at least, my fav has to be JC

It depends on what basis you reach your conclusion. If you base this on contest results alone then clearly Arnold, Dorian,Lee and Ronnie would be front runnners and not many would argue otherwise. If however a more lateral approach is employed maybe it would suggest Steve Reeves and Reg Park as the greatest as they were the pioneers of lets say modern bodybuilding and opened the way through their movie exploits to the great exposure and acceptance that bodybuilding as a sport has enjoyed over the last 40 or 50 years. As with all subjective comparisons it really depends on ones frame of reference and the factors which one cares to put into the mix.

my thoughts, for what its worth

Arnold without a doubt, but it has to be taken in context. He was a bodybuilder before anything, he had won 6 olympia titles before he made his mark in action movies. I guess its safe to say they were different times, old school methods and old school drugs - sorry "supplements". Granted that he would hardly make the cut on stage these days even in his prime condition, but he has done more for the sport than anyone else can ever hope to.

I actually voted for Frank Zane, in my opinion he has the best physique.

However I think Ferrigno should be in the list, not sure if you guys have seen the hulk movies but he has a cameo role in both - still looks massive (something the governator cant say)
