arnold is only really famous because he was the first real public champion and therefore and introduced bodybuilding to the masses . Maybe the poll should have been who has the best physique of all time.

and just to add.....i think Arnold revolutionised the prominence of BB to the media and took it to a new level. Haney eventually came to the fold, then welcome Dorian. Despite Ronnie and Jay in the modern era, in my opinion no one has fronted with a physique that demonstrates strength, power, blood and guts, such Dorian. Anyway....just my opinion

Even on DVD's I think Ronnies "The Unbelievable" is better than "Blood and Guts".

However Dorian vs Ronnie

in those pics Dorian seems to have a slight mass advantage, but Ronnie's way cut. If I had to pick between the two I would have to go with Dorian, cos he's old skool and still measures up well against todays compition.

Ronnie's a monster compared to Dorian tho, those traps are insane :shock:

NZMM, IMO there is no way that Dorian should have won the 94 Olympia.

I have that show on video and Dorian was wide waisted/puffy, and had a badly torn bicep. (he also won in 96 with a torn bicep AND tricep).

No disrespect to the man as he was an exceptional athlete but at that show Shawn and Kevin were in career best shapes and I would have had Shawn 1st with Kevin a close second.

IMO Shawns conditioning, symmetry,colour, posing and presentation were just miles ahead of Dorian at that show. He looked 100% on where Dorian was atleast 10% off.

Shawns free posing was one of the best ive ever seen. He posed to R and B Ballad "I ain't going to let you leave without me" (which Kai Greene used recently) and it was a masterclass.

Whereas Dorians routine was improved from the year before, his lack of contest experience showed and his preference for the training raspect ather than presentation aspect really showed.

His colour was awful (uneven and running in patches all over his face).Where as Shawns was close to perfect.

He also beat Shawn in the symmetry round! How you can do that with a torn bicep I will never know!

I would have pegged him battling Paul Dillet for 3rd and 4th.

Once again no disrespect to Dorian as he genuinly deserved the Olympia on some other occasions but I feel he was genuinely beaten in 94 and 96.
