Zane still looks good now at 65, flex is a freak and should have taken out ronnie the year he first won the olympia.

I still think pound for pound dorian yates was the best ever. If you see pics of him in his prime it's hard to imagine anyone ever taking him out. I think in his best ever condition back then he would still take out the olympia today.

Dorian was good... he got a few gifts during his reign, but which Mr O's havn't rite... But Ronnie is in a class of his own.

I liked Flex until he started shooting synthol in himself like there was no tomorrow!

what was the secret to that "old school" look? compared to todays day and age?

I think a lot of it has to do with the volume of training back then. Most of them would train each muscle twice a week. And for some their sessions would last a couple of hours.

Add to that the huge amounts of d-bol and winstrol they were taking!

Serge Nubret used to do 20 sets of chins just as his warmup on back day!

Not the biggest fan of Cutler, but these were posted on a BB forum (bodybuilding.com ?) before Mr O '08.. some shots of him just before the prejudging I think. Mad respect for his size :clap:
