Help for a beginer

Hey everyone

My name is Andrew, i am after some help in terms of training and dieting for a serious beginner keen on bodybuilding.

Basically I am aimming to substaintially increase the amount of muscle mass on my body.

If anyone could provide some help it would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently eating anything and everything, am unsure if this is a good method? I have just started out training so am doing my own thing which is why i came here to find something useful so i am not wasting my time.

I have pretty much just started today so need help in all areas if that is possible of you?

Handy Andy since you are just starting out on your bodybuilding journey my advice would be read Muscle and Fitness since you are a beginer .Plus Muscle and Fitness is a good magazine for beginer it has the latest training and diet tips as well it can be purchased at any good book shop also there is bodybuilding.com which is a very god web site it has lots of good advice on it.

Have had a read of those articles thanks Samoan.

Could you give me some types of things i should be eating for my 6 meals a day and some quatantites, everyone says eat heaps but i think i am already.

As well as that could you provide me with some reconmendations of suppliements to take, obviouslt protein but what else?

If you're new to bodybuilding I wouldn't bother with supplements just yet. With the improvements you'll make in your diet and getting your training down, you'll be set to make some pretty good gains.

yea newby gains are the best, its when they stop that you gotta start the supplements.

you should take some pics of yourself doing the poses (look them up) and then take some more in 3 months and see the improvement!! well hopefully..

Pick at least one from each goup for most of your meals

eggs (6ish -a couple yolks)

tuna (large tin)

chicken (large breast)

beef, pork, lamb (200-300gm)

fish (300gm)

oats (cup raw measure)

rice (1-2cups cooked measure)

potato,kumera (large)

pasta (150-200gm raw measure)

Veg any type non starchy ( 2cups)

fruit (couple pieces)

Olive oil ( tablespoon)

nuts (1/3 cup)

flax seeds milled (2 tablespoons) oil (1tablespoon)

peanut butter (2 tablespoons)

Drink some full milk if having trouble gaining

Have something sweet and some meat after training

If your not gaining weight your not eating enough

If your getting fat your eating to much

Lift hard

Rest alot 8)

thanks for your help everyone, just had a big session at the gym, feeling pumped already.

Will take all your advice in and in 3 months hopefully see some improvments

I get the feeling a Muscle Monster is in the making!
