Craig J another good option for good upper peck delevement is doing push with your feet on a bench do three sets of 15 with a 30 second break in between sets the last set you will feel a very good pump.

using db's is way better imo b'cos with the db's you really know that the weight are evenly distributed to each side, where as with a bb its harder to tell

I agree, Also keep your butt down when pushing! You see too many guys lifting it when they are pushing bigger weight. This causes you to even out and ultimately you are doing a flat bench then. Keep it in the seat to concentrate on upper pec!

45-60 degree angle is best, and i kno that most of you think im crazy for saying 60 degrree, but its all about your grip, iff you stand up rite now and put your arms straight out in front of you,

then see these two Slashes / \ pretend those are handles, Now change the angle of your hands to hold those handles, now take a note of that grip, iff you use that angled grip when doing DB incline bench pres with a 45-60 angel you will get best work for your upper peck!!

I would see 2 problems with that movement tho. 1. The angle your wrists would be so the amount of weight would that you could control would be limited. and 2. The 60 degree still seems take the work load from upper chest isolation into front delt assistance. (my 2cents worth)

the pectoralis major originates from both the clavicle and sternum

Clavicular head: flexes the humerus (decreases angle in shoulder joint i.e. chest flies)

Sternocostal head: extends the humerus (extends the humerous sagitally i.e. dips)

putting more emphasis on the clavicle head would only require 10 degrees or so of incline, although i guess it is best to mix it up as you should with all exercises.

i have been doing incline db flies lately on a low incline, in the 12 -15 rep range which have been providing plenty of simulation :pfft: .
