Hi MasterTel,

I will make a couple of final points and then let this rest.

Firstly I have in the past given up my time and have helped organize and helped out/manage backstage for many NZFBB competitions. So I have got off my "lazy backside" and done something about it. I have also attend and put forward motions at AGM's in the past. My comments have not been from a point of ignorance as you have suggested.

I have also read through the prepared anti doping policy and my entire point here is simply this. The policy says nothing as to the direction and decision that should be made, its wide open and covers all bases in an attempt (I'm presuming) to make everyone feel good. My gripe is - this same issue has been tabled at the last two AGM's and we are no where closer to a definite decision than we were 2 years ago according to the newly formed policy.

I apologise for being so harsh in my criticism of the exec, and offending you personally.

Re NZFBB Drug Testing

I would have to agree to having the testing by the NZFBB. I too have been up on stage with men that have been on the gear and also some that have been off the gear for some years but still have that body that puts them in first place.

I have been overseas at other IFBB competitions and have noted that they only test some of the shows and these competitions are advertised as to which ones will be tested. So why not have some thing like this here or they have two bodybuilding divisions one for the natural and one for the gear people.

They could look at having 2 or 3 competitions without any testing, including the Nationals, this way we can still have some one getting a pro card if they want it.

As for the ones that want to go overseas to represent NZFBB at the worlds they will need to be tested at there own cost. This way they will make sure they are drug free.

If you need to look into it more than look at the NPFC-IFBB in AUS and also the NPC in the USA.

They could look at names like

NZNPC-IFBB ( New Zealand national physique committee )

I think thats how Ronnie Coleman got his pro card. He went to the World Games/Champs (tested), won them and received his pro card.

The other avenues in the states for obtaining a pro card are the Nationals and USA which I believe are not tested, but still award pro cards for class winners.

:pfft: masteltel seems to get his knickers in a twist when ever someone speaks ill of nzfbb hahaha

hmmm thought some members would have been in favour of the drug testing being dropped considering.

Considering what?

I think MT gets annoyed, as I do, when people cast opinons of others doing the hard work, and then lack the stones to back it up by naming names or at least putting their own name to the accusation. There's a lot crap slung by people hiding behind nom de plumes on here at people like Terry who puts himself out there.

Would this forum be better if Terry didn't contribute, I don't think so.

What Cronus said was more a shot at the committee members than the fed, and by Cronus's own admition was a bit harsh.

I was wondering when you were going to chip in with one of your usual inane comments, mr natural!

As I have said to both you and 2guns before - I don't have a problem with constructive criticism ... in fact I'm all for it! But I definitely draw the line when the criticism is personal and unjustified, as Cronus clearly was (and has since apologised for) in his/her initial post.

To Cronus - good on you for getting involved with events and showing such an active interest in AGMs etc. My reference to your "ignorance" was merely to say that unless you are at the Exec meetings you don't know what is discussed or what goes on behind the scenes when dealing with such a contentious issue as our drug testing policy.

Thanks, Mike, for those words of support!
