That is very sick dude.I agree the parents do need a bullet big time.

Did U even watch the programme? Much better than those kid pagents they have in the states .She wasn't in the gym doing weights just had a healthy diet and exercised regulary .No big deal

Good on her for getting up on stage. Not sure she should be up there at 10yrs old though.

But as has been said in the article & on TV, she doesn't lift weights & wants to be a runner not a bodybuilder.

She did have great abs though... damn.

I agree.

Whats the difference between that and putting them though something like ballet.

My son did TKD and would be sore for days after some work outs they had, he was only 9.

I missed the show out the at the time because I was out but I had read of the article on the Hearld Sun web site.I thought that was sick by the parents letting there ten year old daughter to compete when she is that age the sensable option would have been to let her comepte when she is older.

when i was over in coolum (gold coast) during the break of the iron man competetion there was a junior girls gymnastic team which came out and did a display, these girls would of been aged 8-10 but shit they were fit looking theyd put that girl to shame. seeing perfect 6-paks with deep cuts on 10 yr old girls was just freaky  but very impressive.

so no i dont think theres anything wrong with it, better than sitting in front of the tv!!

To be fair, im in agreement with not pushing kids into something they want to do. But you would be surprised at what some kids really want to do!

I loathe watching a friend of mine push her daughter into every imaginable sport and hobby from music lessons to dance every single night of the week even though her daughter has begged not to.

On the other hand my daughter wanted to get into cycling (which i do) so i bought her the basics thinking she would be bored of it pretty quickly, only to find now a year later ive had to upgrade her to a proper road bike and shes training to do lake taupo this year. Shes just turned 12.

On the other hand shes said after Taupo shes going to quit cycling and take up Soccer ... im fine with that! Shes the only one pushing herself and some days ive had to force her to take it easy and take a break. Shes just really determined!
