Hi there,

I am nowhere near a bodybuilder but have recently started to work-out again after a 2-3 year break, and some if not most of you know how that feels... sore .. yep.

I am 26 and have decided to bulk up and gain quite a bit of strength. I am 179cm and wheigh 87kg. My goal would be to stay around that weight, possibly go up to 90, and cut the fat %.

At the moment I am not on any supplements as my daily food intake I belive is more than enough.

Anyway my name is Mark and am from Auckland...

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Cheers

m.

Hi mark, what BF% do you want to get to and from where

Hi Deegree, at the moment BF% is very high especially stomach area overall it is 24% and i have measured it 1 month ago, since then I have been training quite hard, an with my lack of knowledge I wouldn't have a clue whether it dropped down or not.

My problem now is that I have started to eat even more, is that normal?

I want to drop BF% to 15-17% I think that is reasonable for my first goal?

Cheers

Gidday Mark. Yep, it's absolutely normal to want to eat more when you start working out. The question is whether it's too much for your goals. Put up your diet, and we'll take a look. :)

Current diet (obviously not prescribed):

Morning 0830 - apple or few mandarins / coffee

0930 - cereal with extra calci milk

1230 - lunch 2 days per week 500gm of steamed vegetables, 2 days - some sort of pasta and chicken, 2 days just steak and some sort of carbs.

1500 - apple, mandarin, banana

1900 - Steak, and fresh salad or fish and fresh salad, or chicken breast and salad.

And weekends : Anything is allowed :)

Please feel free to add / remove stuff.

Cheers.

Hey Mark, imo.. I think your weekend eats may be hindering your progress. What does your weekend food look like? I would maybe make only 1 day of the weekend an "anything allowed" day, or even cut it down to just having 1 meal where you can eat anything.

Hey,

Deffinitly want to sort out my weekend eats as well, its a bit hard when you are used to eating roast pork or pizzas or some burgers, makes it very hard to stop all of a sudden, so am trying to slowly stop. How about my weekday diet, what do you think about that, should I add / remove anything there. Also I am not taking any supplements, should I be at this early stage? Cheers.
