Good gym gear

Just wrighting this to see what sort of good gear everyones gym have that the like the most. In my gym (even though i dont use em) one of the most impressive this we just got early this year was the set of 90 kg dumbells

:shock: good start. my fav bit of gym gear is the old chin and dip bar, bolted to the wall. simple but effective

One of my faves is the cable pulley station..with nothing else but that, you can still work most parts. My gym's got two - and they're often in use.

My gym has lots of world class free weights and machines including treadmills which are very nice with tv 's built into them the same thingh for the bikes and cross trainers as well but my favorite machine at my gym is the leg exention were I can crank out eight reps using the whole stack which is 114kg.In the way of DB's at my range from 2.5kg to 70kg Db and in the way of plates range from 1.5kg to 25kg plates.

Wow 90kg db I wouldn't be able to lift one up with one hand! :shock: I just like the simple things and variety at my gym (Les Mills Extreme) but they do have some new fancy machines which are hardcase having a turn on sometimes.

Don't know how many times it has saved me from falling on my ass. Gym's only got 1, but the best thing about it is that it's not in front of a mirror, so its hardly ever used :pfft:

we recently got a new set of db weights ranging from 12.5 - 40 kg in 2.5kg increasments and doubles of the common ones. although they got rid of them

The Les Mills I go to has (finally) got some new equipment recently. A couple of these cable machines, new squat racks and one of these "V-squat" machines which makes my quads burn like hell

Autectre I go there too but find those new cable machines arse, the old school ones are much smooooooooooother. Yeah the leggie machines are all good had a go on all the new stuff in Extreme and the Hutt gyms, pretty flash!

I also like the new school cable machines as well not the old school cable machines. I saw the new machines what Les Mills extreame have when I was in Wellington in Febuary. I thought they looked very nice.

For those of you who haven't seen a pair of these babies, here we go. Our kids love to use them as stepping stools. Gym members often use them as seats in-between sets lol

I go to the Terrace gym, so the new stuff is waaay better than the old shit they used to have. Still haven't checked out the Hutt gym yet, it's supposed to be pretty flash.
