NO Products

I've never tried them but I have always thought these products were jacked up hype....

Stick to the basics and I dont think you can go wrong...most of the top guys i know have never touched the stuff

I agree with SM about sticking to the basics and that most of that stuff is jacked up hype. However, despite Biotest's blow-assing about their products I still tried them and haven't been disappointed yet!

No help with regards to NO products I know.

I got good results from Mega NO Blast from NutriGenix. This is a new product available at a selected store. It gave me huge pumps with a prolonged effect. This product compares well with the BSN NO XPLODE now banned.

My training partner uses Mega NO 2 from Pro Fight....Good pumps as well.

Not good results from ON Vassive. Muscletech Nano Vapor is good for a pre workout energy drink, the focus and energy i got was out of this world but the pump was moderate. i think results may vary for individuals.

I believe I will be slammed with by number of true NO followers.....

Every month there is a new No supplement claiming to be the first one to actually work because of their unique variant of Arginine......

The NO hype started soon after the pro-hormone ban, the companies needed something to fill this sector, so the NO hype was introduced.

If anyone knows of a study that shows that Arginine has an impact on protein synthesis, I will be happy to read it. Pumps doesn't always equate growth, you can get a pump with German Volume Training and a glass of water if you just need a pump.

I take pre-workout supplementation (NO-Shotgun V3) it gives me a nice kick with regards to energy and focus, but that doesn't come from the NO (Arginine).I must admit an enhanced pump is nice to feel and I guess that could well be from the Arginine. Also, is anyone 100% sure a arginine induced pump = growth?

I am not saying NO doesn't build muscle I am just saying I would like to see a study thats proofs that it has muscle building effects. Seems to be a lot of hype in the air with NO proof

I've got No-xplode & Superpump 250 in the cupboard.

It only ever gets used as pick-me-up if I haven't slept well the night before (which is probably only once every few weeks).

I don't believe long term use is very good.

I agree, the claims to muscle growth are dubious at best, but if it helps by mentally giving you a lift, then it may help in getting you to put in the effort for that one last rep. So perhaps indirectly it does help, in the same way listening to music can add something to your workouts.

I'm of the same mind also.... slightly off on a tangent I read and article recently suggesting NO supplements may accelerate the growth of cancer cells. .... follow this link to a similar article ...

I can't remember where Iread the supplementation article but I do remember it was a NZ university that was doing the research.

What do you guys think of these type of supplements? Do you use them all the time?

I have never tried this stuff before & thinking about trying some. Is it worth it?

Whats the best NO product out there?

Ok so have everyones opinion....., PM me your adress please so I can forward you a free New NO Shotgun-V3 sample (New Release). At least you can make your own decision.....,this one also has 20Grams of protein per serving.

I think there might be a mistake by VPX on the breakdown, it says 20g of protein, but further down where it breaks it down further it says 9,660mg of protein - 10,055mg of the creatine and NO stuff, and 377mg of their "Redline Energy & Meltdown Fat Burning Technology" which adds up to around 23g which is the serving size. This seems to make more sense otherwise it'd be closer to a protein shake with some added extras.

Heard good reviews about this BTW

The Amino breakdown is the amino's in the protein, the sample is labeled less confusing...

  • 5 months later...

Used plain arginine, syn-vol, animal pump, and horsepower. Definitely started seeing gains when first using a pump/volumiser like syn-vol. Plain arginine seemed ineffective. The pump from the other products was really good. If you look at good NO products they have volumisers like creatine, glutamine, beta-alanine etc. One might say the gains are from them as they are proven ingredients.

i use superpump before every workout. hate working out without it.

but to be honest the only reason i do is because im a shiftworker and often im tired/shattered or both after work, and the superpump makes a BIG difference to my energy and focus levels. if it wasnt for the tiredness factor i wouldnt take it at all, and it tastes like crap. also gives a good pump.

imo its obvious that these products dont DIRECTLY build muscle, but for me they allow me to work out at full steam even when im shagged, and THATS where their usefullness lies.

If you just want something to help you work at full steam take a caffine pill or two 30-40 mins before ya workout. hell of a lot cheaper too.

I found BSN Nitrix to be really worthwhile as it lasts 24hrs ... but ... it kicks in just as you finish the 1st bottle. I got 2 bottles last year and on the 2nd bottle I was waking up at night with hard-as biceps and just squeezing them it felt pretty good. Workouts were great to boot. But you had to take it on empty stomach which is hard to do when you are always eating like I am :-)

Agree that the last really good all-rounder was NO-Xplode.

I think I've posted this before somewhere, photos taken when I took Gaspari PlasmaJet. I felt really strong on this and pulled some big weights. It has side-effects for me such as headache and yawning before hitting the gym, but once I was working out there was no turning back.

Oh and yes it was 1 week out from a comp just in case you think it will make you look this veiny, but still a noticeable result to the days I didn't take it.

I never took it on the stage, I was advised it would flatten me out, instead I took 3 servings of MuscleTech NaNOX9 for the comps and was happy with the result. I never took NaNOX9 in the gym so can't say how it goes, it's just for comps and I'll use it again next year (along with jellybeans :-) yeah!).
