Kitchen Scale.

Couldn't figure out wheather I should post this in here or 'General chitchat'.

Anyway, I'm in the need of a food scale, so I wouldn't mind hearing what your opinions are on the topic.

I haven't done much research in terms of which scale is better, ect.

By the way, I have no preference in scales, may it be electronic or mechanical.

Thanks.

I bought a small mechanical scale from the Warehouse because I wanted it to be easy to move around my tiny kitchen and I didn't want to worry about it getting wet or a glass bowl getting broken.

An electronic scale would be far more accurate than my el cheapo but I don't need accuracy to 2 decimal places to see how much cottage cheese I am eating. It's actually reasonably accurate, the measurements are consistent and it measures up to 500g, which is plenty for me. At $7 it's been a bargain.

I love my scales!

They're accurate to 2g, and go up to 5kg. I can't remember how much they were, but I got them on special from Briscoes.

You may have to fork out a bit for a decent set, but you won't regret it. I discovered my protein shake scoops were only giving me half the amount I thought they were!

Just use cheap mechanical ones here.

Really unless you are on a micro managed diet super accurate scales are not that important. digital scales often show decimal place accuracy that is completely at odds with thier calibration tolerance, people just want to see more decimal places I guess.
