Give blood to keep BP down

Recommended Posts

I give blood a couple of times a year but have never noticed a drop in BP in the long term, only initially, first few hours after. They tell you not to train for 24hrs after giving blood... screw that! :D

I think the idea is more like every couple of weeks and It should take a while for the BRC to build up to the previous levels. Its more for guys that dont come off cycle year round.

As far as im aware there is no concern for the people recieving the blood, actually apparently "enhanced" blood is in demand because of the high red blood cell count and hemoglobin (sp?)

Really? That's very interesting. Hmm, perhaps I could strike a deal with them... I'll supply the enhanced blood if they supply the enhancements. :P

Do you get paid to give blood?

You might get a cup of tea and a biscuit, but generally I think the idea is that you do it for a good cause (says he who's never given a drop...)

Sometimes they give you a milo and a biscuit. Would be better getting a protein shake with glucose.. You dont get paid for the donation.

I wouldnt trust the result anyone receiving my blood may get :pfft:

Not even funny ya tard, last time I checked it wasn't funny to have aids/hiv, you too are very strange boys

I watched a south park eposide to say it was funny as it has been 19.5 years (length of time for something tragic to become funny)

Haha at least you guys can give blood, I can't as I was in the UK when the mad cows epidemic was out!!!

Im sure if you wanted to (as I am quite sure you dont biggurl) blead yourself relitivly safely. Get a butterfly needle and a 60ml syringe and draw that up a few (up to 5) times lol or a needle and some sergical tubing plus a beaker and just bleed 400ml or so in to that 8) probably best to have someone around incase you faint and keep bleeding to death.

On second thought thats not such an appealing idea
