What does everyone eat on competition day?

Just thought a post on what each competitor finds works for them on competition day would be interesting.

For my last comp I had a steak and potatoe breakfast and then alternated corn thins with honey and natural peanut butter at two hour intervals until backstage at the pre judging where I sipped on full sugar V's and small amounts of jellybeans.

I also added Niacin before the show which really helped flush the skin.

After the pre judging I repeated the thins/honey/PB until dinner where i ate a chicken breast and kumara.

After that I repeated the thins/honey/PB every two hours and V/jellybean/Niacin combo backstage before the night show.

I didn't add red wine/or spirits as vaso-dialators but are keen to hear if they have worked well for anyone?

Yeah Flamer it does seem like alot when I think about it, from memory I ate about 1/3rd the last Kumara and Chicken breast(cold) outside the venue and then stuffed the rest in the bin. I just couldn't face up to another bite of that #@$% after 12 weeks. LOL

I did chop about 6 fruit and mince tarts and 11/2 litres of water after the show though! and found that I stayed real lean for 4 or 5 days after.

I think when your body goes through 12-16 weeks of reductions, you can throw quite alot of junk at it before you blow out, at least thats what I found!

The Burger/Nacho's and Rum and Coke idea sounds damn good Mike K, but I think it would affect our physiques differently!

You carry around 20kg more lean mass than me you would just absorb it, but it would probably make me look like an Ethiopian refugee with a starvation bloated stomach!LOL

Steak and Ice cream.

I eat up to 2kg of steak and 2 litres of ice cream in the final 24 hours...

Lots of mashed potato also..

You said you don't compete NZMM, reward doesn't = effort I think is what you said.

I don't compete anymore... I've thrown up a couple photos on here from when I did compete.

If I have to go more than 4 weeks of not getting severly intoxicated, then there needs to be some exceptional reason! doesn't seem worth it to do a bodybuilding comp...

Breakfast: Salmon & Kumara washed down with coffee and 200mls water

Mid morn at breifing: Rice cakes with jam

Backstage: Rice cakes with jam, salted cashews, wine gums

Lunch: Fish, veges, kumara

before night show: chicken, kumara

more rice cakes with jam depending on how I look.

Oh - and red wine!

After all done; sports drink with electrolytes.

Day after. Breakfast at Scotts with a wedge of carrot cake!
