that would be the Elite show, Nabba and NZFBB onstage together, no testing, and no excuses.

I hear a very large Wellingtonian might make a comeback appearance next year in it

oh i was wondering how long it was gonna take micheal k to come along on his fine white horse and shinning armor to come along to the rescue lol

whippie bro.

your so predictable.Where did i mention mike?

You mentioned NZFBB nationals and Top 3, since Mike D was number 1, I put two and two together unless you count differently to everyone else on the planet. I only proved how little you seem to know.

Seems it's ok for you to stick up for 2G over recent discussion, but when it's going the other way and someone sticks up for someone your having a go at it's not allowed? It's not a white horse, its informed opinion.

I was already commenting on this discussion earlier in the thread so it seem on this occaision, your the one riding in a little late to the party

dear mk.

All i said if you read the orginal post was-at the finals of the nzfbb nationals all the top 3 places in ALL the divisions did not look very natural too me.No where did i mention names and point fingers( who wants to do that on here now!)

I only brought up mike because you did. Then you went on to say about how he was 100kg competing in a non tested event(nabba) and how at the nationals(nzfbb) he was 85kg,ok so what was your point exactly?cause it seems like mixed messages, anyway who give's a shit really. i don't.

I'm not here to point fingers anymore but when you and mastertel want to say i'm full of shit and where's your proof to back it up then you are asking me basiclly to point the finger.

i knew you would comment(coming in on your charger as i put it) on what i said cause i know how pro(excuse the pun) nzfbb you are and as soon as some one has an opinion on drugs and nzfbb then there you are to defend it.i was not saying there's anything wrong with it and its your right to do so.

    right back at ya pal. :pfft:

Wouldn’t it be better to drop this issue, it’s been discussed over and over again. Time will tell as what is going to happen in the future but lets be honest, the ones that take the gear generally end up in the open classes anyway. I’m sure a steroid user isn’t going to want to compete in a novice class. Just leave the Federation to do what they feel is best.

All the top 3 now, that would include Mike D wouldn't it? ...and the masters figure women too

As to defending, considering the well speculated issues I had with my drug test, I know a lot more about it than most, and I was fortuante to have some-including Mike- well informed jump to my defence. All I try to do is keep the facts straight as they are often way way off.

A few quick facts, when the fed had it's money issues a couple of years ago, my name was 2nd on the list of those wanting answers and calling a Special General Meeting.

MT is my friend, and an NZFBB official, but I have discussed and made it clear why I don't agree with his participating in NABBA events.

I support NABBA publically in the way they move there nationals around and am the first to champion this to the NZFBB, my comment about the CHCH show is the first shot I've ever made about them. It would be nice if those that take shots at the NZFBB were balanced in their criticism.

I do question when I hear how the NABBA shows are better because they have no testing, yet can point to Mike D winning his class over the NABBA national champ from a few weeks earlier.

I'll rest my case on this subject, feel free to rebut how you feel- my points are made.

mastertel... where can i find out the results of the 06 and 07 drug tests for the nzfbb please?

You can get some basic info from this link, mr natural - http://www.drugfreesport.org.nz/Drug+Te ... stics.html

It shows there were 3 'Doping Infractions and Refusals' relating to bodybuilding between 1 July 2006 and 30 June 2007 - one failure (Wellington Champs) and two refusals (Auckland Champs) in April and June last year.

I don't have exact details, but I recall there were over 30 tests taken at NZFBB events in 2006 with no failures or refusals - and I'm fairly certain there were no failures after the Auckland Champs last year i.e. at the Sonny Schmidt, North Island, South Island and CNI events. Therefore 3 testing failures during 2006 and 2007 from approx 50-60 tests or requests for tests.

Like the others have said, excellent post, Mike. Thanks.

under new SPARK rulse not only athletes but coaches and officals could come under scruteny. ie You could train some one who you beleived to be natural, they test positive and then you can be put under suspicion and sanctions from the testing authorities. that opens a whole new can of worms.

This is incredible. I can see why SPARC would want to cover trainers handing out little pink "vitamin" pills to the athletes, but I think 9 times out of 10 this policy would just cause problems for innocent coaches. Surely other sports would have the same concerns though? What have they said about it?

The only way I can imagine this working fairly is if SPARC could prove there was a group of positive-testing athletes all training under a certain coach. And with their current level of random tests, I can't see how they'd ever get the numbers to build a pattern.
