Does anyone know what's happening in regards to resuming the testing at nzfbb comps ?

I was under the impression it was going to resume again this year but it's not looking like it.

And the longer it goes the less chance of it ever being reinstated.

I have heard that SPARC are no longer involved and therefore there will be no more testing. Maybe someone could ask Mark or Jo S to confirm?

ive heard the same. its not sumthing they would want to announce as such i wouldnt think.

its a bit of as shame really that no one can ever be upfront about these kinds of things, seems like theres always something to hide from sumone..

2guns, I'll try and make this as clear as possible, as it seems you and certain others on this site continue to make the same mistake - JUST BECAUSE YOU HEAR A RUMOUR ABOUT THE NZFBB DOESN'T MEAN WE ARE HIDING ANYTHING! IF YOU WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING THEN ASK THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE INFORMATION!

As you know, as an NZFBB Executive Member, I am more than happy to answer matters relating to the NZFBB - where appropriate. i.e. unless it is of a sensitive or confidential nature (e.g Drug Testing policy status or test results), then I can and will answer it as best I can. Otherwise, any NZFBB member is welcome to send a request direct to the NZFBB for an official response.

Time and again, people hear rumours (which are usually completely false) without even asking for the facts, and people automatically accuse us (NZFBB) of withholding information or hiding things.

All I can and will say here is the statement 'SPARC are no longer involved and therefore there will be no more testing' is FALSE. If anyone is an NZFBB member and wants to know more, they can email the NZFBB, and/or attend the AGM on July 20th (I don't have the times yet, but will post it when I know).

2guns, I'm hoping you are not as ignorant and arrogant as many of your posts suggest (or perhaps I'm wrong?).

I've told you exactly what to do if you want answers regarding the drug testing. You seem quite happy to accuse individuals and organisations of all sorts of things, but don't listen when you are pulled up for it and given constructive advice. The same happened recently when you accused the NZFBB of discriminating against non-NZFBB competitors with our seminars. I pointed out how untrue this was and you didn't have the decency to acknowledge my response.

I'm happy to be a "voice" for the NZFBB Executive on this site, but I don't see why I should have to keep defending ourselves against your petty and ill-informed accusations! Perhaps when you grow up plus bother get involved in the administation of a sporting organisation this will make sense to you!?

You can't teach 2G on this subject because he never learns from every other time he makes the same type of comments, so why do you bother to keep trying.

2G you know the email address of the fed, ask them instead of bitching and blaming.

And show that you are unbiased, when NABBA shoot themselves in the foot like it sounds in the recent ChCh show, don't defend them, say it was a screw up like you would if it was NZFBB.

Your a smart kid with talent, but its a bit misdirected sometimes.

I am thinking of competing in the NZFBB when I do compet.I agree nothing wrong with pissing a cup.When I do get tested after I compete for the first time that is cool with me.

mr natural - I don't have anything to hide. I have already said that we have not dumped SPARC. The NZFBB is committed to and required by the IFBB to promote drug-free bodybuilding and that has not changed. If you want an "official" response to any question on this topic, email the NZFBB or attend the AGM! And, yes, I am a representative of the NZFBB and I take my role very seriously. That's one reason I participate on this site - to educate and inform where appropriate.

I assume you mean the NZFBB? Interesting comment, Bluto - considering the NZFBB competitor numbers have increased significantly in the past 2-3 years with medium term growth prospects looking good, I can't see why you would think otherwise. Why, Bluto?
