NZFBB drug testing

And the comment about the new financal backing of the NZFBB (words to effect) effecting drugtesting, that is a case of a little information being dangerous and that person being very poorly informed. all decisions made by the committee are voted on. Do you think that if the committee was doddgy you would have people such as Terry Hills or Willy Walker (who happens to be a police officer) in that committee.

well thats enough of my day on here, and hopefully any other comments will be a bit more professional and respect full than some i have read this morning.

Mike Debenham.

The committee is not dodgy at all :pfft:

Hi there... It's Oomps here... And I'm going to get slaughted for this but I hope they don't have drug testing! Yes I said it... The amount of people / competitors I meet who use this excuse astounds me. I would go as far as saying the over 90% that use this excuse would have no freak'n idea if someone was onstage next to them that uses! I heard a statement over the weekend by a trainer who said after 8 years she could tell due to jaw lines and other body parts. Diet has a lot to do with this too... When I pointed out that a previous OVERALL winner was clean the response was they're a freek... So here goes... You maybe a freek but you have to work blimen hard. Just because someone is on the gear does not mean anything. If you don't know what you're doing with it, it's a waste of $$$. You still have to train for months on end for the body to register that the muscle is it's own. I like the idea of being pushed to reach a certain look... Ok... At 64.75kg I might not have the muscle of a competitor over 90kg but that doesn't mean they're using.

I'm sick of hearing because someone is big they're using... NO... It doesn't mean that at all...

I personally like the old Australian rule wich they're JUDGE pointed out to me... Bodybuilding is bodybuilding so do what the heck you like. BUT if you want to represent your country then you go into a testing pool.

And before you jump down my throat take a look at past and present overall winners whether in Physique Women & Men & figure not to mention Body fitness... They're NOT freaks just blimen hard workers.

I love it backstage running the shows, making the competitors life easier ( I hope) but this topic burns me.

It's a damned if you use and damned if you don't because either way someone will moan and complain...

And NO... This is NOT a dig at those that strongly believe they don't want to jump onstage due to a "possiility" of someone using... It's those that make the statement and have no facts, a true understanding or realise that someone maybe on but it just didn't work...

Ok... That's my 50c... Your turn...

That's spot on.

Whether a BB'er uses or not, once they get past a certain size or become successful in comps, there will always be people who will swear black and blue that they're on the juice. Either way, the athletes dont get credit where credit's due for their commitment and dedication.

The whole issue on drug testing, cheating, and whether to compete or not is a bit like driving on the road. There will always be people who speed and pass you on the passing lanes well over the speeding limit. Does that stop you driving. No you go out and buy a Monaro HSV only to still be dragged off by someone on a Ducati. So you just enjoy it anyway.i

  • 2 weeks later...

as a natural competitor i dont mind if competitors are on the gear or not, if your in condition and have good symetry, theres a good chance youll win just focus on your own resaults its not a givin that if your juiced youll win its about how consistantly you train and how good your diet is,

look at daniel hibbs hes as natural as they come and last year he kicked ass
