So what does everyone eat the night before comp day? What about the morning before you go on stage?

Last year my trainer had me eating whole eggs, corn thins, bacon and salmon. Didn't really work for me at all (are we surprised?)

What you were given would work for the majority of people assuming they were already in great condition.

I have done the more traditional carb load and that did little for me.

I prefer a shit load approach but you cant really plan anything untill your a few days out so you know what YOUR body needs, better yet have someone else with alot of experiance decide for you, you may need nothing at all and just go in as you are, you may be flat and need a little carbs or you may need alot of carbs and/or fat.

My approach next show will be to come in very dry and not To filled out to the point where lines start getting a blured.

For me I will most likley add in a little extra carbs during the week leading in (no deplete) and then 3-4hours before hitting the stage it will be some BK or somthing like that. Also I wont drop water at all.

Trail is the only way to know.

unless you have done a fat load before and know it works for you i would stay clear of that method.

Can potentially smooth you out in an hour if you fuk it up.

Yup - abs just disappeared. I was really disappointed and felt like crap. Still undecided as to how to go this year. I'm almost at the point where I change nothing and treat it like just another day.

What did you try Flamer? What do you eat on the day? I like a bit of red wine, well last comp I had a few shots of tequilla :pfft: :nod: Few sweeties, was a bit pissed and on a sugar buzz and forgot my routine at the night show, only my mates noticed and just smiled and kept doing random poses haha

Tried the carb load - trainer said I could have whatever and as much as I wanted from the bulk bins. Although when you're dehydrated you don't want to eat too much dry stuff! Came out flat.

Tried the fat - Salmon for dinner, cream in the morning with whole eggs and bacon. This one in particular made me feel really ill.

Could just be I need to play with the quantities.

You need to be contest ready around 4 weeks out from the show and do 2 or 3 trials before the 2week out mark and from there you decide what works best for you. If you are not depleted and very lean then do not load at all full stop, don't just load for the sake of it
