Weaker while being on creatine?

I've taken about 6 different creatines over my time training and had little to no results from any and infact while on it my weights go down slightly or feel even heavier than normal, and once I stop taking it my weights go up? Strange or just me? and I always have to urinate alot while on it. Maybe just give up on it entirely and try something else?

It depends. Creatine isn't the only thing that may impact on how well you're lifting in the gym. Training (programming), nutrition, recovery state (& fatigue state), psychological state et. al will also influence your weights.

How did you take your creatine? Did you load, take a maintenance amount for X weeks or what?

What brands did you take?

Agree with EU there, body weight has an effect to. We usually do the loading phase for 6 weeks prior to a comp, that works well, lately been using Kre Alkalyn instead, lot more expensive.

Thinking of going to creatine ethyl ester for the Nationals.

You get your creatine "non-responders"......, strength has a lot to do with your glycogen levels, ensure your levels are not depleted.

Using "old school" monohydrate always worked for me,especially after a loading phase
