Wow this post is almost a year old :shock: How old is the site Pseudonym?

Well, we didn't start promoting it until February this year, but technically we're about a year old, I guess!

Should we sing Happy Birthday to us?

I think I was asking this before.june last year seems to be when most of the posting started though there are posts from apr last year.

Well, in the spirit of birthday celebrations....

Petey was one of our first members, and he's still hanging around, I see! Although recently he's taken to lurking... Come out and take a bow, Petey!

Be interesting to see how we go in one years time from now, you must be happy with the way things are going at the moment though. what do you imagine we will get the membership up to ? there is not really any nz bbing boards that are established except this one so it is hard to guess

I've gotta say, I'm really proud of the community we have here. You're all great members, with none of the petty bickering so often seen on other boards.

You acknowledge there are different training philosophies, and can usually see the other person's point of view. It doesn't stop us debating, but disagreements are discussed sensibly and settled amicably. I think that's the key to a successful forum.

As to how much bigger we get... we'll just have to wait and see. There's no shortage of people who could benefit from this site...

The skinny guy who's just joined your gym and is doing everything wrong? We'd like to help him do it right. The veteran competitor everyone's in awe of? We'd love to have him on board too.

As I've said before, this site is in your hands. The bigger we get, the more we can offer members. So if you like the site, get out there and tell people about it!

Finally, here are a few interesting stats I worked out recently:

• Page views for May are up - more than 155% of April's total views.
  
• Visitor numbers are increasing rapidly, with unique visitors up 125% of the previous month, and the daily visitor average at 117%.
  
• Nearly 30% of visitors stick around for more than half an hour.

You can see why I'm not going to make any bets? Who knows where we'll be in a year's time?!

So thanks guys... here's to another 12 months of growth (for you, for me, and for the website!)

Well said mate. Interesting stats too, i think youll find the board will continue to grow in memmer numbers at a fairly exponential rate for a while. Like you say its just a case of getting the word out there, im sure if more people knew about the board theyd be all signed up.
