Boys thats a married mother of two your talking about there too!

who cares, she should take it as a compliment. and u should be happy im not saying bad things lol

I was just highlighting how impressive she is, her babies are only young and she is an inspiration to other mothers...plus I thought I'd give you an opening for some MILF humour.

Honestly I'm probably not the best guy to ask, I can never pick the close ones, and usually put my foot in it by saying what I think the result will be before hand and people taking it as a gospel, I've now learned to keep my mouth closed or say what I think but with the condition that I usually get it right only haf the time.

I had Heidi win the Symetry round of the overall and Raechelle the muscularity round. I ended up picking Raechelle in the overall based on her strong delts and tight sharp waist, and good detail in her back. But it must have been very close.

As to the the overall bodybuilding women, I didn't pick that but my wife did.

Didn't think anything else was too hard to pick or wrong.

I thought Johanna could have won her class, but it's won of those what they're looking for on the day things.

I was very impressed at the novice mens over 80's and think that with some more dieting it is going to be a real battle at the nationals.

yeah they all had some good size, will be a good comp if they all do it and come in leaner

the girl in the blue skirt had a sexy routine but it was more like that of a stripper then a figure competitior, i think the girl who won had a very classy rountine.

i thought her routine was alot more entertaining actually.

but the boy who won the male routine award was crack up as! that was a very entertaining routine lol

I agree with you Old School about Raechelle's routine ... you can check it out now on Keith Jolly's site: http://www.muscleimaging.com/Events/NZF ... /AK08.html

Nick Poultin's routine is awesome ... he may have placed 4th in his class, but he certainly deserved the Best Posing award with that effort. I had a good chat with him and his Dad after the event and he has a really great attitude and he is certainly determined to put on more size for future events. Even if he doesn't ... he certainly gives the audience value for money with a posing routine like that!

I came up from Chch for the weekend to see the show with a girlfriend. I at first thought like others that the girl in the blue skirt should of won the best posing routine, Raechelles was okay but nothing special, but then in thinking the girl in the blue may not have had many actual poses in her routine which is the whole point and although in NZ we are not judged our routines this may have been the reason she did not take the best prize. I also think that Raechelle looked amazing and while my girlfiriend and I thought oh god a few times, pure honesty would say its all jealousy as she was stunning and as others say she presented the entire package, I think we have all got used to average, her bikini was incredible, a big well done to those who got up there. I also chatted to Nicks Dad and he told me that was Nicks first show and that it had changed (his dads) opinion of BB, he saw the women as gorgeous (not menlike) and the men in great shape (not beefed up on steroids) he was very proud and I think competitors like Nik are the future of this sport, young drug free and enthusiastic and prepared to put the hard work in! They should be supported for their efforts

Well done guys, some amazing bodies on show over the weekend. Sadly didn't make it to the show, but from the images I've seen so far, it looked like a great show, so cool to see large novice classes.

I think NZFBB figure really suits you Raechelle, well done. You remind me of American Figure girls in the Symmetry round pics.

Flammer - wow great work, a lot of good muscle there.

lol Gymrat.. I love how you always have HOT in capitals every time you talk about the figure ladies.

Well done Flamer.. despite the issues with the tanning, you looked fantastic on stage. Your class was definitely one of the toughest.

Thanks PnW. You know it's a tough class when ya have to do the number of rounds we did!! Legs were shakin by the time the judges were done with us.

I would just like to say all the competitors did very well, On the Topic of Novice category Rachelle Chase has competed in the NABBA federation for years does that make her a novice? Mascularity was fantastic considering she weighed just over 55 kilos. Symetry!!! boobs were too big for the rest of her body and her legs could have done with a bit more definition.

Jo Mountfort the Figure girl in the blue skirt fantastic body it took her 4 weeks to get into that shape what an athlete, Routine!!! What do you consider a stripper routine when she didn't get time to finish her routine. If most bodybuilders had a dance back ground like Jo has all of the routines wouldn't bore us to death I had to be tipsy to watch the routines that night. Watch the American Figures girls we may learn something from them. There are no rules about what you wear in the routine category, seems very prudish to me, most of the Judges were male.

Thomas you rock!!! Awesome body....

Will be seeing you guys at the NATIONALS!

It makes her a novice for NZFBB seeing as they are totally different organizations....

Just like getting your pro-card in some other federation and thinking that it applies to the IFBB??

I may be wrong Raechelle Chase competed in NABBA Fed last NOV 2007 and 1 other time... Not 'Years'. BTW you only loose your NOVICE status if you win / place or you win or place at Nationals, it's not a time thing, it's about how you place. So yip she's still Novice -esp. as this is her first NZFBB comp. So as I said Yay for her, NZFBB Figure is more suited to her body type.

As for the posing routines... I was not at the show, but my 2 cents are:

They are 'Posing routines' NOT 'Dance Routines'. This section allows each competitor to pose their body using movement and music. I agree that dance type routines make watching more fun, but first and foremost in a Body Building competition you are judged on posing. If you can pose and dance - more power to ya I say! (wish I could) I can understand that while the 'Girl in the blue skirt' may have entertained the crowd, the best posing routine should go to a competitor who poses.

Hopefully I haven't offended anyone here, and I certainly don't want to run down anyones performance esp. as I was not there.
