What did everyone think of the new TV series airing last night?

Personally I thought it was good, alot better than what I thought it would be. Main actors, Sarah and John Conner are good, and suit the roll well. I didn't think the new Sarah would hold the intense passion Linda Hamilton did in T1, I was obviously mistaken.

However female Terminators do not inflict the fear an "Arnold" type Terminator does. So i'm hoping they keep them to a minimum in the series.

T3 was a disaster of a movie. Bad actors (Claire Danes), (Nick Stahl) and no offence, but a women Terminator didn't give it the atmosphere T1 and T2 did. So I hope it's not a follow up in that style.

I feel the series is more like a "Smallville" type series from the movies, which makes it watchable to not only fans but the general public. Which will be good. We will soon see how the series goes.

personally i was a little dissapointed with the storyline as it doesnt follow the movies, although we will have to see how it runs. another thing that nearly made me change channel was when the female terminator ate a chip. doesnt seem like much but little things like that really annoy me :madman:

i hate that all the good shows are on wednesday! now they are making me stay up till friggin 10:30

It does follow the movies. It follows up from Terminator 2, set in 1999. They travel through into 2007 and continue on from there. In T3 (the movie that should never been made) John Conner is in his 20's and in this series he is in his teens.

They are making a Terminator 4 movie. Staring Christian Bale as John Conner, set after Skynet disaster with the remaining survivors. Hopfully not using the same writers as T3 :evil:

yes i realise it follows on from t2 quite nicely, although sarah connor is dead in t3 and john connor is alive?? oh yea i guess if john is teleported back into his own time and has his memory wiped it could fit in between t2 and t3, so what is the release date for t4? 2017?

damn missed it but yea totally agree about t3 and that a female terminator just dosnt cut it, enjoyed t1 and t2 much more .

T2 is one of the best movies ever. Missed the new Terminator episode the other night.. but it feels wrong being a TV show for some reason confused.gif

T4 looks interesting.. I liked Josh Brolin in No Country for Old Men, but I'm not convinced he could be the next Terminator unsure.gif
