i think some of u people need to get into your small brains that personal training is not about bodybuilding and making yr client as huge as possible

Spot on! I have been in the industry for over a decade. The most successful trainers focus on the 80% of clients that would be classed as mainstream fat loss and fitness. The bigger your catchment, the better your chances are of building a solid base. In my experience BBuilders make exceptional personal trainers. Based on the length of time in the sport they generally have worked with a number of training partners, which makes for a great foundation in their ability to read a clients training intensity level.

However, you have to put everything in the right context. If you wanted to improve your golf game you'd see a golf pro, if you want to become a boxer you'd hire an experienced boxing coach. Body Builders make great trainers in gyms because thats what they live and breath - but thats not to say it's an essential piece experience. I know a number of trainers earning more than $70 per hour that are not from the sport.

the pound maybe suffering like the US dollar and im sure this will eventually affect the world, that said, the pound still goes a long way in the uk, way further than the equivalent in NZ dollars will go. it costs a small fortune to get by here.

hey frogie bud, so beer has gone up since you left huh!

next time you come back you gotta give me notice before you arrive.

Did you like any of what i sent you?

i was given the task of training Ian Day up to be a training partner (one of many - in the ifbb it works a bit like training sparing partners for a world class boxer - not anyone can spar with the best, same in BB) of Dorians - Dorian used to flat-fly with 60kg d-bells at one point in his career and so you had to be BIG to train with the man.

DITTO!

As the man says: Bodybuilders live and breathe training, diet and everything going along with it. Most like to share their knowledge with others and find it rewarding to help others achieve there goals.(just take the B/B boards for example). Although it's not the end all of P/T, it's definitely something to remember when choosing somebody to help you improve your physical condition.
