Try and find a Reverse Hyper use it for restoration, get some blood back into the lumbar and loosen the back up. Box Squatting can compress the spine, deadlifts compound it, especially if you do them straight after. If you round back deadlift then that is even worse. Get some one to check your form or video it.

Mine is just a slow burn. Nothing I am worried about too much.

Nearly ripped my groin on a 225kg deadlift last night tho... Scary shit. Hobbled out of the gym and took a rest day/night instead.

Form seemed to be perfect, just must have tweaked on the way up? Anyone else have this happen?

The bar is also bending about 6-8 inches before the weight comes off the ground so it is making it hard. Might have to wait till I find a better bar to use next time. Think this may have helped the groin strain

6-8"? Lol, slight exaggeration? A bar with a big flex helps for deadlifting.

Was it 6 or was it 8 Sam, you know Cougars are particular! That is probably where the strain came from in the first place! :pfft:

Mike Zero hit it on the head, the more the bar bends before the weight comes off the ground, the higher the actual lift is starting from so easier to lift heavier. Standard cheap gym bars are easily bent and have been known to stay that way after partials! Smaller diameter Olympic lifting bars are great for doing clean and jerks with as they have that extra spring when you move them fast.
