harden up and go to your gym and see what they offer, may be someone on staff that bodybuilds who can help set you up and get you started...then you can post up your programme here and get feedback from some of the members...everyone starts somewhere so stop wasting time and realise your potential if it interests you! :D

Welcome, Lee.

No gym in the world is going to say "NAH!!!" to a potential customer. Don't worry - you won't get shamed out. Go and check out a couple - you'll find they all have different pros and cons.

Anyway to answer your question - what does it take to become a bodybuilder? A lot of time, a lot of hard work (both in the gym and in the kitchen), and a lot of commitment. Apart from that, it's easy. :)

i txtx quit a bit but even i found that bloody hard to read :?

Jeepers...I'm like a thousand years older than dirt and I could work it out...

I think gyms aren't as scary a place as you'd imagine...and no, being a BB doesn't mean giving up on anything....if you're talking about competition, as opposed to just building the best "you" there is, there are three classes for women, physique, fitness and figure, with varying requirements...but what you need is the Ladies' Room, some of the people there probably know a lot of what you're talking about and can give you good advice without the small town probs!

Pseudo is right - most of being a BB is about the kitchen and diet...and this is a good place to get good advice.

Lee if you ever come back to check this out the first bit of advice I can give you is to stop using Text langauge to the extreme of requiring a dictionary, if you have children would you be happy with them learning this at school? From what I can understand from the message I wouldn't worry about what people think, at the end of the day it's an individuals sport. If it small town gossip and their is a stigma there, just call it athletics...... might make you feel better. It takes a lot more dedication than the average sport, as it you're not just concentrating on it 1 day practise 1 day game. It is a constant "lifestyle" commitment, diet, working out, and resting. Otherwise enjoy the sport
