Heya and welcome

You've come to the right place - there are some really inspirational women on here, I'm sure they'll give you lots of advice based not on glossy magazine adverts but hard-won experience :)

My two bux worth, not that I know much, is that everyone's different and the fact that your BF may be getting better results now shouldn't put you off...

Diet's key, not a fistful of supplements, so keep your money in your pocket, post your diet and training log, and listen to these folks, they know their stuff

Hey chikky & welcome! What gym do you train at? Is there not someone there that can assist you? Workout forums are a good place to check out, especially those that include diet. In fact Small's (except her "cheat" days - not being the food police Small!) are probly a really good example of where to start (and keep going).

Absolutely. There's always one bastard who seems to make twice your progress with half the effort. The trick is to use them as your goal, not your measuring stick. :)

Wed - Arms or Legs (opposite to monday)

Thurs - run + abs

Plymetric ab pushes.

and all of these are done 12,10,8,6,12,12 reps and uping the weight as i go down the reps.

I train at bay wave, and usually my bf trains with me but he takes a bit more motovation than me and lately has been slaking but all gravey i cant wait to see some results so i can show him it actually works!

i have just found a female ex pro body builder that works in one of the health shops in town! score! so i thort i would pick her brain for supplements, but she reckoned i dont need to take anything this early in my training.

so what do you guys think of my programme? what kind of results should i be looking at getting in what time frame?

after 6 weeks im feeling firmer, but have yet to loose weight or measurements? is this normal?

also i have one 'free day' per week, is is possible to undo all the good work uve done for the hole week with one day off? my free days are pretty free . . . . . .

thanks guys! so appresiate the advice!

oh and body fat . . . . . . is bad at the moe,

im 165cm, 70kg now (?) and 28% fat, man that sounds not too good??

my diet is the body for life basic one:

6meals

fist full size of protein and carbs for each, 2 servs of vegies+ daily with meals, one free day.

i stick to lean meats, tuna and eggs mostly for my protein and wheat free pasta, brown rice or kumara and potatoes for carbs

Both your diet and training are basic and generic, which is exactly where you need to start, and from there you will never stop learning what works for YOU and what doesn't. Don't be afraid to try things and take in all the info you can while filtering out what you can't use.

Nothing in training and nutrition is gospil.

The only comment I would make without seeing you is that the full day refeed is fantastic for a male BB'er but most likley counter productive for a 68kg woman. I would suggest one cheat meal once a week.

Hey muppet, welcome and congrats on your hard work so far - sounds like you're really motivated!

my BF is doing it also and has had much more drastic results so far :(

Don't you hate that?! When I first started training years ago, the same thing happened with me and my bf (ex now) - but if you stick at it, you'll get the results (he didn't and he's fat now) :pfft:

Anyway, I agree with IronGame - there's so much information and opinion out there, you really need to just take it in and use what works for you. If you are going to train specifically for an event, having a trainer and/or nutritionist can really help - listen to one person and stick at it :D

Welcome Mupet! Love when there's a new chick on Board!

I started out (a few years ago now) by using the BFL principals too! Good basic and solid, this will give you an awsome base to work from and you will learn things along the way. All I can say in terms of results is stick with it, most women get start to see results between weeks 8-10!

You will find alot of guidence and advice from the folks of this forum. There are some good people here!

this is the girl in health2000, right.

why dont u just get her to write u a diet and training prgramme and ask her to take yr bf measurements? just might have to pay but still that is a good idea i would think....
