Challenges of the Body Building diet

Just wondering whether any other ladies out there found it slightly challenging when cooking your daily meals. The most challenging or should I say annoying thing I'm finding at the moment is when you're cooking dinner for yourself and your partner and having to do two separate meals! Don't get me wrong, its not me being lazy or anything like that, it's more of missing us having dinner together, eating the same food etc... ah well - I've only got 3 more months to go and I have to say, I am enjoying the diet and I haven't had too many bad cravings which is all good! I'm on track and I have my appt with my nutritionist this Fri to do a review on my meal plan as well as getting my Body fat readings - looking forward to this as I have stayed on track!

That's what I did. My partner pretty much ate what I did but I added in rice or bread to his meals. The other thing I did was spent my Sat afternoon cooking all my meals and putting them in the freeza. Then I just took out what I needed for the next day, including dinner. Some dinners I made enough for both of us and others he was prepared to just cook his own.

I tend to eat at the same time each day and don't like routine being broken where as Muffinman just ate when he was hungry which wasn't always at the same time as me anyway.

Just thought I'd put a note in to say things are going fine now :) Dinners are getting easier and better. I'm having my chicken/meat/fish & veges for dinner and he'll have the same with some carbs like mashed potato or pasta etc... We basically enjoy the same food and I'm getting used to not having carbs other than my veges for dinner! I'm seeing my nutritionist tomorrow so I'll post my results on the board.

cheers

The appt with my nutritionist went well - I'm on track. Bodyfat came down from 33% to 30%, I'm now 65 kgs - down from 67kgs, my Lean Mass is still 45kgs. I'm working on increasing this to 48kgs.

Had a good workout at the gym today as well - I'm definitely getting stronger which is really great :) So far so good. My diet has stayed pretty much the same - my nutritionist has given me some thermos to start taking to up my b/f loss. They're called Slimfast - capsules, only need to take one a day in the morning which is good news! The last ones I used to take were the Nutralife Thermo Max (I think this is wat they're called) and I had to take 3 daily, one with every meal e.g. breakfast, m/tea and lunch, and I always used to forget! With one a day it is much easier as I always have my multi with breakfast as well!

Good on you for doing this it us very challenging at times.

I tend to cook two times per week Wednesday nigtht and Sunday afternoon. I cook HEAPS of mini meals (chicken and 1cup of green vege or fish etc flavoured with spices and equal) and prechop additional green veges for evening when I have egg whites.

For my partner I cook mini meals also but with kumara or brown rice added and steak/mince plus extra flavouring.

It is a huge cook up and takes a few hours twice a week but it means you are set to go each morning just grab the plastic containers and off to work. Some things you can freeze also though taste better fresh.

Eating with other people /your partner is pretty much out the window! Probably better to eat like this all week and then have a 'cheat meal' together at a resturant once a week(though make a healthy choice) to spend time together.

GOOD LUCK!
