NABBA WELLINGTON CHAMPS 2008

The 2008 NABBA Wellington Bodybuilding Championships are being held on Saturday 4th October.

Athlete Info

Entry forms can be downloaded from here (you need Acrobat Reader), and completed entries can be posted to NABBA NZ, PO Box 535, Palmerston North 4440, along with your music and $20 entry fee before Friday 26th September 2008.

Late entries will be accepted up to 11am on Saturday 4th October at the discretion of the officials, with a $40 entry fee.

Athlete check-in is between 10am - 11am at the Theatre, and the compulsory Athletes briefing begins at 11:30am at the Theatre. Competitor numbers and instructions will be issued at the briefing, so it is compulsory for ALL competitors to attend and be on time.

If you have not renewed your Annual NABBA fee for 2008, an amount of $40.00 is also due with your entry.

Posing routine music on CD is to be brought to athlete check-in. Your CD should only contain the one track you will use for your routine. Please indicate if you want your music to start when you are on stage (ON STAGE) or to begin before you come on (OFF STAGE).

Tickets

Tickets for the Judging Rounds (starting at at 12:30pm) cost $15.00, tickets for the Final Rounds (starting at 6:30pm) cost $25.00, tickets for Judging Rounds and Final Rounds purchased together cost $35.00 and are available from most Sponsor outlets from mid September. Door sales will also be available on the day.

There will be a range of prizes for athletes, including a mystery trip, as well as giveaways and sponsor deals for all audience members! :clap:

Memorial Theatre, Victoria University, Wellington.

Parking is available off Salamanca Road. (Click on the map for an enlarged view).

Hi folks

Tickets are now here. If you wish to purchase these early, contact me on 027 288 2963. $15 for Prejuding, $25 for evening or $35 for both! There will be door sales.

The show is shaping up to be a good one with awesome athlete prizes, giveaways for the audience, sponser tables with heaps of show bargains and a mystery trip for two for one lucky athlete.

I attended the pre-judging of the NABBA Wt show and just wanted to acknowledge the athletes and organisers. It was a good event, and I know that behind the scenes is always so much work.

The Nationals of both the Federation and NABBA will be interesting. Will some athletes will doing both?

Hi everyone

Thanks to all the competitors, sponsors and of course the crowd that came along to watch the show! We had 30 athletes, all of high quality \:D/

It was great to see BK and Jonah in the audience, both avid supporters of the sport. We were lucky to have Protein Bar as one of our sponsors who gave away some awesome prizes to the Novice Figure ladies .

The overall titles went as follows:

Miss Shape - Ragina Patel

Miss Figure - Tenaka Hyndman (who has moulded herself into an amazing figure over the last few years)

Miss Physique - Ra Paku

Mr Athletic - Keri Onyewu

Mr Physique - the always humble Max Stott

There was a great battle for the Mr Physique title, with some amazing bods battling it out!

The NABBA Wellington Committee would like to also acknowledge our helpers that stepped up to help out backstage and manning the doors. NABBA Wellington are looking for new blood on the committee, and welcome any volunteers who can dedicate a bit of time to helping make the show a continued success. Whoa is she 60?! That was a very close category she was in. Colleen who came 4th in that category is pushing 70!
