So, 2guns - are you going to get on stage, or are you also trying to decide which bikini to wear?!

yeah i was gonna ask u where u got yr pink ones from that u wore last year... very metro!!! :pfft:

Aww, I'm pleased you liked them - I got them made by Ali Gascoine (she wore the matching set when we did Mixed Pairs together). Tell you what, mate - you can borrow mine and I can get Ali to make you a matching top?!

Pity about the low numbers (and temperature!), but good to see the "old" fellas (Jerry, Michael and Jack) lining up again this week. These three made up the Masters Over 50 class at the NZFBB Auckland Champs last week and I'm pretty sure most if not all three are now at least 60 years old!

Actually there were three other guys well into their 50's at last weeks comp - both the Classic Men competitors and the lone Open Men's competitor.

Numbers were definately down and it was COLD, but the spirit of the competitors was excellent.

Think the FREEZING day kept alot of people away, but who can predict the weather?

Managed to get my training and diet right and won the Overall Athletic which I was stoked with.

The Classic competitor from last weeks NZFBB Aucklands was Michael who is a great chap, very witty and down to earth.

I didn't really know who would get it but in the end I got the nod.

The backstage pump up room and side stage was in good spirits with plenty of comraderie shown by all, just the way it should be.

Cheers 2guns, coming from someone of your level of development that means alot, thanks bro !

Sorry I didn't get to catch up and introduce myself, it's just that it was too cold to be standing around in 5cm squared of crushed velvet posing attire and by the time I got out of the changing rooms most of the crowd had gone and the officials were packing up.

'm not sure which show yet. My wife and I along with our little one are moving to Christchurch in August, so thats probably me for this year. I'll definately compete again, I just need to suss out the gym scene down there and see what times of the day I can train around my new job and family commitments.

Were moving to Rolleston so next week i'll be scouring the message boards to find a good gym.

I'd like to make a trip to Auckland to compete atleast a once a year excuse to come up for a long weekend.

On a perfomance note, I was real happy to achieve the look and conditioning I had been training for. To me it was just a night and day difference to the way I looked at the Nth Harbour last year (holding water, and flat).

As long as I can improve each time, then i'm happy.

Thanks 2guns/Pseudonym and all the other guys/girls from NZBB.CO.NZ who came out to see the show especially considering that it must have been one of the coldest nights of the year so far.

Koo Koo, My wife commented that your choice of colour for your posing costume really suited you! and the fact that you were smiling alot and enjoying being up made such a good impression on the audience.

This is really important becuse IMO too many competitors look like a smile would crack their face during shows.

If you diet and train your arse off for 12-16 weeks you should enjoy the fruits of your labour and it looked as though you and the other girls in your class were enjoying being up there in great shape! Good Work!
