I want to know how many servings of fruit and veges anyone includes in their daily diet. Is five servings a day to much? Is it best to have six small meals a day to grow and keep youre metabolism going. If you are having to much protein will it be stored as fat? And on the days when not training should you eat less but keep up the protein?

i have onyl 1-2 fruit vege servings a day. i have 8 meals a day right now.. your body needs a constant supply of nutrients.. on non training days i eat just as much as i would otherwise. i eat till i cant eat no more :grin:

5 servings a day isnt too much. Yes it is a good idea to have more smaller meals than fewer larger meals. well yes, protein has the same calories per unit weight as carbs, any excess over maintanence will lead to fat being stored no matter wiether it is protein, fat, or carbs. I would think eating less on non training days would actually be a bad idea as this is when your muscles are growing and they need to be supplied with the sufficent macros for growth.

I tend to have veges at two of my meals and fruit once a day (not always though). I probably should include more but tend to worry more about how much protein I'm getting rather than veges and fruit.

Out of habit I eat the same on non-training days and tend to agree that as your body is in repair-mode it would need the nutrients to help the muscle grow.
