DB bench press vs BB Benchpress

so i have been doing db benchpress on shoulder days (wed) and BB bench on chest days (mon) as well as other shoulder and chest exercises..and have realised that as i increase the weight of my db bench, i end up doing less bb bench presses the following mon...if i stop doing db bench for a while and just focus on bb bench,i end up lifting much much more..like 3-4times more....does anyone know the logic behind this?? :shock: :shock:

DB: Much larger range of motion, less isolative, more injury prone, lighter weight, more core strength required - Stabilising muscles are used throughout motion, added flexibility.

BB: Lesser ROM, More isolative (mainly tri's n Bi's), less injury prone, heavier weight, more muscle stimulation (IMO), better on the ego as you load more plates :lol:

Both have there place in bodybuilding, IMO BB is superior for mass and strength gains. BB is better for sport specific stregth that requires core strength - especially when used with a swiss ball.

the secondary muscles for barbell are more like your shoulders,and tri's and also your lats,bi's not so much.
