Customs Clearance

Wuket

Recommended Posts

I have some legal stuff coming from BodyBuilding.com/Higher Power and understand that Customs automatically inspect all packages from them, which is fine.

I am just wondering if anyone has a clue how long the insepection period takes, currently my stuff has been there since Saturday.

Kind of defeats the purpose of getting express shipping!

Thanks, I ordered express though and have also ordered before with no worries, it is definitely in Customs somewhere, will call them tomorrow.

What I am pissed about now is the comeback code - I forgot about that - could have saved me $25 or so!

BTW - can anyone recommend other stores like BodyBuilding.com that are good and ship to NZ? Overinflated prices here in NZ make it so much cheaper to order from overseas for everything except maybe protein powder (because of the weight).

I didn't know they were opening everything now as I thought BB.com was not allowing NZer to buy anthything that is illegal here anymore.

I think pseudo that one experience had tainted you forever on bb.com !

True, but I spoke to Fedex today and apparently that is what is happening.

I imported some products through Nutraplanet http://www.nutraplanet.com/

Which were detained by MAF Quarantine service.

This is the order,it was not labeled adequately to identify the contents

2 kg BCAA

So MAF sent me a "Notice of Detainment" letter

Wow

so I rang them up {because I knew I'd done nothing wrong} and a nice young lady answered my call,I explained to her what each product was then she pleasantly declared that all was good and she'd get then to me in the mail asap!

She did mention that they had an issue with any product that contains egg album.so any product with this ingredient will be detained, with no chance of release.

Absolutely. I have a vendetta against them which I unashamedly roll out at every opportunity.

Cop a bad neg or something? :pfft:

Don't get him started, but as i remember it was over some lifting straps.

It would appear that customs are trying to make it not worth while to privatly import supplements. I am unsure what the driving force behind this move is, the range is so limited here often
