I would rather buy a packet of peanuts personaly.

Tried an EAS bar at the show in the weekend, wayyyy too sweet for my liking. Think they designed protein bars for fat people wanting to replace the chocolate candy shit they usually eat.

At $4-5 each they are hardly cheap either. You could buy a 6 pack of eggs for that price :shifty: I have the benefit of having a fridge at the gym, and living within 500 metres tho...

even though there not a protien bar i have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE one square meal bars i would be a spokesmen for them if they asked they taste that good, why they would want me as a spokes men i dont know :pfft:

yeah they are not bad to fill a gap but they have a fair bit of cal's per serve.Off season stuff.

Ok I have to admitt I tried one of those Carbless bars the other night... Mocha flavour. Fucking awesome! Tasted sooo good. Kinda like a normal candy bar haha. Whats the protien absorbtion levels of these things like? 50%?

More Sugar than protein nearly.. :roll: PWO I doubt they would do much as they are a casien, soy, whey blend - Absorbtion up to 4 hours long.

Try the HPLC bar, it tastes like wood, dries your mouth out then takes about 40 mins to finish.

I tried one of these and although had lots of protein it tasted like crap. It was very rich and chocolatey tasting but not in a good way lol.

i think that most of the protein bars sold are too high in sat fats,and artificial alcohols (sweeteners)...if you go on to youtube and look up 'protein bars' theres a few pretty good recipes there

yeah they are fkn horrible alright. I had one and it really was like eating cardboard. Only reason i finished it off was cause i had shelled out 4 bucks for it. Dirty bastards who make it, i bet they all know it tastes like shit.

just tried the new horleys carbless crunch bars (chocolate nut crunch flavour) they're in the purple wrappers and MAN it was good. probably the only protein bar i would ever buy again as ordinarily i can't stand any of them

haha er no, just came out that way smarty pants. Any hoo back to topic...........tried a nice protein bar last week Aussie Bodies Protein Delite (22gm protein, 7.1 fat, 5.1 carbs) quite nice and didn't taste a bit like cardboard, not that I know what cardboard tastes like though either MoJ before you ask.
