post-workout CRASH!!!

ok so whenever i go to the gym workout hard then get home and the heartrate drops back down i seem to crash and feel like shit-usually causing me to go lie down somewhere, this happens in the space after i take my protein shake till it kicks in , around 20-30 mins.

can someone recommened a supplement i could take and when to take it so i can avoid this as its a nasty feeling, or would falling asleep for a few hours be beneficial due to the release of GH etc?

Yep, A drop in glycegen levels for sure.

I take canned pinaple to the gym to eat straight after I train to super hydrate the muscle, then have 46grams of protein after. I find I have grown a lot more training this way, the sugers help carry the protein to the muscle. If you are on a cut then just keep this as the only sugers for the day, its a good time to eat the fruit your mother always told you to eat too

I aim for about 25-30 grams of carbo from Pinaple or Peachs after training. Around 20 grams of that is suger.

Sleep is pretty good though if you have enough time to do it after you train - A lot of pro athletes do this. Sumo wrestlers sleep after they eat to help put on weight. I ussually spend the following couple of hours from training stuffing my face with Half a kilo of chicken, a head of broccoli, 6 eggs and some brown rice - rather than sleeping...

Drink More water

lol dont think so bro, yesterday drunk over 2 litres during workout

meal before workout was chicken,potatos,beans,carrot,corn... teatime lol

but usually it is a protein shake and some carbs, would fast digesting or complex be best ?

shake after workout was dextrose, protein 35g,no fat milk 18gprotein,banana

that pinnaple canned sounds like a good idea, do you drink the juice ?

also, what about sipping on a bcaa's mixture during the workout ?

or like somone said maybe just drink a mizone/gatorade - do these contain much sugar?? never been a fan of sports drinks...

You would be surprised drinking water after your workout is highly effective works for me i just add 2 tablespoons of raro and a 1/4 teaspoon salt in a 750ml bottle and down that after my workouts stops cramping and boosts sugar and hydration.

hmm will try... doing it before my shake, as last nights shake nearly came back up :puke:
