Alright?

I'm gonna be moving to Wellington within the next few months. I dont wanna spend weeks/months looking for a PROPER gym and wasting valuable time!! Anyone have any suggestions on where I should train?

Bodybuidling mate, obviously with a bit of cardio but i'm not too bothered about that cos i like road running and interval training on track.

paying about £30 a month here, which works out about NZ$75, but that is a dedicated no frills blood sweat and tears kind of place........not a treadmill or TV in sight!!! lol :grin:

That is three times what you would usally pay here. Where in Wellington are you moving?

For about $75/month you'd have heaps of choice, frills or no frills, depends (like Diamond says) where you're living, how far you're prepared to drive, and where you end up living/working. Most of the gyms I'm aware of (like City Fitness, Bodyworks, Powerhouse, Club Physical) would have casual (pay-as-you-go) rates which are a bit higher than the 1- or 2-year contract rates but let you work out whether it's your bag or not...

yeah if you go to the ceiling you will be looking at around $100 month (les mills, lots of frills) goes down to around $50 month for a YMCA.

Wow eh why would anyone want to move from the UK to NZ is beyond me :pfft: just moved to Bham from Auckland and paying a fortune for a gym here. £43month.
