Cooking Grills

Laver

I just tried this, and my God, what a difference. Kookoo, you are my new best friend. Marry me.

Haha so easily pleased... but the scullery maid and cleaner criteria doesn't work for me sorry  :pfft:

i have a foreman grill, are you saying that putting baking paper on the bottom and placing the meat on it, and shutting the lid will keep the grill clean? just wipe the tip of the lid once done ?

It will not catch on fire right.

No fires in my kitchen yet! Nah, I get even lazier and just rip a long bit off the roll, one half goes on the bottom, fold it in half and the other part goes on the top 8)

I tried the baking paper trick but the paper stuck to the chicken? Was a pain in the ass to peel it off when it was cooked so just ended up eating some paper also.

I summize you did what I have done in the past & skimped on your greaseproof baking paper. Unfortuntely, you need to get the pricey stuff for it to work.

But, as TFB says, bit of extra fibre is good for you :D

I used Mono Baking Paper ("the best thing next to food"). And yeah, I don't think it's the same as ordinary paper.

As for the fire issue, I was amazed - I was cooking chicken drumsticks (so fairly long cooking time) and the paper didn't turn even slightly brown. Again, I wouldn't be so sure about ordinary paper though.
