False alarm with Avast antivirus

Pseudonym

Recommended Posts

Those of you are are running Avast antivirus may be getting a virus warning message when you visit this site. Fear not - the problem is with Avast, not us!

Avast updated their "scripting detection" recently, and now it triggers a false alarm on every website that uses phpBB forum software (and there's a lot of them!). They say they will be fixing the problem shortly, so your next virus definitions update should solve the issue. If you're impatient, you could try updating your virus definitions manually rather than waiting for the next scheduled time.
