Hi Everyone..

I had seen Transformers 2 two weeks ago and It was amazing.

I expect to see some good action scenes of robots fighting. I expect many of those scenes to raise the bar from the last movie.

Beyond that, I expect the story to make no sense (like the last one), the acting to be wooden (like the last one) and for many lines to be unintentionally funny (like the last one).

Who goes to a Transformers movie expecting anything beyond that?

Because the first one was actually decent. Typical Michael Bay "Michael Bayed" it and trashed the second one. It was a joke.

Anyone seen Transformers 3? Any good?

Saw Bridesmaids last night.. Hilarious. Went to watch it 'cos I'd heard that it had alot of similarities to Hangover (looooved Hangover 1 & 2), but it totally stood on its own. Recommend it.. And its not just for girls either! My partner enjoyed it too

I'm a hardcore transformers fan and just got home from from the cinemas. Got to say I am very disappointed and after Bay promising this movie was going to be a big step up from the last 2, it never felt like it.

Michael Bay overdid this movie, he should have kept it simple. He should have known the factors which made the last 2 movies a success and re create it or at least include some of it but Dark of the Moon tried to do too many things and failed to focus on the core.

I always thought Megan Fox was just about looks, but the new girl made Megan Fox's acting look very good. Graphics was overly well done. Probably the recent best movie in terms of action, explosion, robots and cars but if you are a hardcore transformers fan, lower your expectation. Nevertheless you will definitely get your money worth at the theater :)

saw Transformers 3 last night too and its a lot better then the 2nd one (that wasnt hard). on par with the first one (love the epic introduction of the autobots in the first one). Optimus is the man as always. I hate the parents in it, i have no time for them at all, and if they cut out their parts altogether i think the movie would be a lot better. Dont know why they couldnt get a legitimate actress to play the role of the girlfriend but i guess thats what gets people to see the movie.

7/10

Purchased Pirates (Restricted 18)

This electrifying swashbuckling sex-adventure takes you on a humerous and mystical journey through haunted seas and deep into the abyss of our most lustful desires....

While my partner appreciated the story lines and build up to the scenes i just wanted to see the girl on girl. One of the first adult films to use a high budget in making the movie there is some good storylines and i found myself laughing at the cheesy comedy. The females in it are HOT! All blondes ( Jesse Jane, Carmen Luvana, Teagan Presley etc) .

One of the better adult films we have seen in regard to storyline and beautiful women but i would say its more directed at females and left even me feeling a little  :shifty: after seeing the weapon the main male actor carries which a blue whale would struggle to get down.

Over all i give it a 7.5 out of ten.

13 Assassins

Directed by Takashi Miike

"A group of assassins come together for a suicide mission to kill an evil lord."

This is a pretty epic Japanese film. I saw this a few weeks ago and it is currently screening at the NZ Film Fest. Definitely worth a watch if you like martial arts or period films, quality ones at that.

5 stars.

Lol "pirates"...

I saw transformers 3, first screening in my area lol..

Im a big transformers geek.. and i actually really liked the third film to the series, yes it was focusing on a lot of things, and the film was loooonngg..

But nevertheless i enjoyed it! and would highly recommend it ! :)

Green Lantern on the other hand, is more of a child's movie, in my opinion, although i did enjoy the first scene with the planes.. (without spoiling it too much)
