Yeah The wrestler was fantastic! Its not your typical hollywood story, very well done, and Rourke is very believable. I downloaded a good quality torrent of it pre release about 4 months ago but it appears not to be available any more :-s

where have you been hiding?

Saw Transformers 2 last weekend. If you like your movies loud, dumb & with lots of action ... oh and Megan Fox =P~ (though she needs workout), you'll love it.

It made no sense whatsoever, was way too long & had robots fighting each other, but it was pretty much non-stop action. Meh.

Saw Bruno tonight. Funniest movie I think i've ever seen. If you're not easily offended, go see it!

All I will say is: slingshot chair, clairvoyant & swinger party

Now this is my type of thread (I'm a censor so get to watch a lot of films).

Transformers 2

Rating: *

IMO it was lucky to get one star. Believe me, I love my superhero and action films but this was beyond ridiculous. If you can't stand Michael Bay, keep away.

Bruno

Rating: ****

So many cringe and LOL moments, it's definitely worth seeing!

Thirst

Rating: ****

For horror or vampire film freaks, this is a total goer. It's a korean vampire flick, where a Priest is accidentally turned into a vampire. It's awesome.

Transformers 2 I thought it rocked plus I did not mind if it was two and half hours with robots beating the crap out of each other plus I thought that was wicked.Meagan Fox is one very HOT CHICK =P~ =P~ =P~ I give Transformers 2 five stars in my book plus I thought it was just a good as the first transfomers movie.

Anyone seen Death at a Funeral yet? I saw that with some friends in the last film festival, and we couldn't agree on whether it was great or absolute shit. For an English movie, the humour is very American.

I saw it at the weekend, and I reckon you nailed it. it's American slapstick in an English setting, very English. Some hysterically funny bits, some sloppy-sensitive stuff for the chicks, but (apart from the explosive scene with Uncle Alfie in the dunny) not side-splitting.

Still, it was carb day and the tub of icecream was tasty (do calories count if you're at the movies :shifty: )

TFB

I also saw it at the film fest ages ago and at the time really enjoyed it. I think it was one of those group mentality things - the entire cinema was enjoying it and cracking up in all the right places. We had a great time - but afterwards we thought 'well it wasn't THAT good'. I wouldn't mind seeing it again to see what I think on a second look.

It's International Film Festival time :jive: :dancing: so it's six or seven movies in two weeks for us....

The tragedy is that, just 'cos we're going to the movies, doesn't mean I get to eat all the popcorn

I'm kind of disappointed with the line up this year - normally I have trouble narrowing it down to a sensible 12-15 movies - but this time I'm only going to see 10 (and one is a work social club night out, so kind of doesn't count).

I know! I just counted them up and realised that it's quite a few really! But seriously, normally I really agonise over trying to narrow them down, so the relatively crap programme this year is a blessing

Lol, I'm another one that liked Transformers 2! (LMFAO @ the taser part in the toilets!!) 'Cept for the fact that the only seats we could get were right up the front. You actually have to crane your neck from side to side to try and catch all the action.. Shame lol.

Really keen to catch Bruno sometime this week
