just watched IRREVERSABLE.

holy crap what a hardcore movie.

one of those ones where youl either love it or hate it.

subtitled. absolutely jaw dropping. brutal as and its realy uniquely directed. kind of goes in a backwards way...like, you watch the end of the movie, and it works to the start showing you how it got there etc.

if your into movies that realy hit home and arnet your average hollywood type, happy gay films then definately hit this up.

a strong stomache a must.

I saw district 9 last weekend, it was good defintely worth a see, it was good that it was set in SA instead of the 'usual' America, great effects it's a little different to the norm.

Finally got to see this, thought it was an awesome movie, and definately agree it was better than the usual American settings, the SA`s are hilarious when they swear. Also it was anything but the usual predictable alien genre movie. :D

Ok, so I keep hearing that this Avatar is movie is goin to "change cinema as we know it, forever". How exactly? WTF is so great about it apart from it having some soirt of whizzy-do effects? I'd never even heard of it til I saw the news the other night and everyone was creaming themselves over it.

Anyway, have to put in a plug for Rise of the Footsoldier. English movie, with absolutely no-one I recognise. The true story of the life of Carlton Leach, football hooligan/bouncer/gangster/bodybuilder/....

Doesn't flinch from portraying the violence inherent in the biography. Given that there are no "established" actors in this movie the acting is very believable. Can't recomend this movie highly enough, although anyone out there using roids should be aware that there is a bit of a cautionary tale included in the storyline.

Exactly mate its like when Toy Story came out everyone cummed in their novelty boxer shorts. Im sick to death with all the CGI bullshit. To me, its pretentious, that these production companies think all that razzle dazzle of special fx is going to impress me. EPIC FAIL!!!! Lol. Im bored shitless with wanky CGI film...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Rise of the Footsoldier was quite good, its ties in with the Sean Bean film Essex Boys. If you liked that, check out Outlaw, a Sean Bean film from 2007, its on youtube, full movie.

You should check out this film also, top acting and goes to show that that you dont need a ridiculous budget to make a fantastic film:

Awesome film......I watched with my grandma hahahaha! She thought it was good! My grandma is a hardcore Londoner LOL.

The fire extinguisher scene is f*cking awesome. Great editing. Irreversible has balls, and its exactly the type of film Im into. I never found the rape scene shocking, it was just a breath of fresh air to see something so brutal in full swing, without any bullshit editing. 10 mins i think it went on for, and the acting was superb. Shame the dude got his arm snaped tho!!!

Check out that movie Pusher I posted......if you like it, you will also like a movie called Bleeder which has the same actor who plays Frank.

Good movie, as i used to be a bouncer, I was thinking HELL YEAH I GOTTA WATCH THIS SHIT, do you think i could find it anywhere though??? no but, online to download, but now have recently bought it brand new for $5 :pfft:

Yeah Lynchy said it was $20/kg last he checked, not sure why it's so expensive. He goes hunting every week and hooked me up with a few free steaks the other day so the supermarket prices don't bother me :P . He's gone pig hunting with his uncle today \:D/

Really dissapointed with both. Both were over hyped and not as good as everyone was raving about.

REC is just a rip off of The Blair Witch Project and 28 Days Later and The Wrestler lacked substance, I expected more.

Yeah they touted REC as one of the scariest movies ever, raving on about how some people literally shat their pants in the movie theatre but I didn't find it hard to watch at all. The anorexic lady they had playing the demon girl at the end would have beein scarier if she looked like she could lift more than a toothpick. If I was the camera dude I would have just walked up thrown her over my knee and snapped her in half. Can't comment on The Wrestler but from the shorts I saw it is not a movie I would ever get out...

For a bit of light hearted girlieness we watched confensions of a shopaholic with the bird, aussie I think of home and away or something that married borat/bruno, that was funny, bit gae but had a great laugh. Both probably B grade in my book.

Went to the gold lounge last night and saw District 9, it was the shit man, freakin loved it, it was so exciting near the end I was nearly pulling my hair out and walked out of the theatre with my hair on end hmmmm Gripping yeah thats the word. A++ that Peter Jackson is a clever cookie

Peter Jackson was just the producer, a saf dude dude directed it. I thought it was a cool concept and had a great story line. The acting was a touch off in some parts but it was surprisingly good. Lynchy made the comment that the shorts don't do it justice - I agree :nod:

Yeh and all they did in REC was shout and scream like wankers, it really got on my tits. When Pablo the camera man goes up to take a look in the attic I KNEW when the camera came all the way round in a circle there was going to be something there, predictable as f#ck. Same with the ending with her being dragged off screen zzzzz... I was actually like "good! F#cking have that you loud, annoying Spanish bitch! Horray for the skinny freak!"

LMAO...yeh...that skinny posessed ugly biatch was not scary and could easily of been twatted in half.
