Not 100% sure on what you mean but if your looking for a 70/30 blend of carbs to protein then why doing you just mix up your own using a protein powder and a carb powder, then you can make any ratio you want.

Yup, can do that too. but I would be interested to know if there are any low Glycemic Index Carb powder out there. I would assume theres some out there apart from the ones specific to post recovery (neccesitates higher G.I to spike blood glucose back up again. but again thats only necessary if youve been training hard for over an hour) i cant remember any of my previous powders every mentioning low G.I.

Yeah ive never seen any with low GI ratings, cant really imagine how you would get a lower GI carb powder as most carb powders are simple carbs, ie sugars which would have high GI ratings. If your looking for low GI carbs wouldnt you have to go with complex carbs??? Not really sure about this, be interested to know...

Well, there are the powders that sell themselves a "meal replacements"... I'm not sure what their GI ratings would be, but I'd guess it would be low-ish.

But then I've never used them myself - always thought it cheaper to add your own carb source. :)

a low GI powder is pointless. the point of haveing powders is you can eat it real fast and digest it fast eg - post workout. if you want a low GI carb .. try brown rice

Why is it pointless, i struggle to get in the necessary amount of calories, its always easier to get down in a liquid form (if all else fails to consume the necessary amount of calories for the day that is) High G.I for post workout is sometimes necessary (if the workout is intense or if its predominantly cardio incorporated and lasting longer than an hour, yes).

But if you're taking Carbs shake to bulk up, true you will bulk up but if its High Glycemic index which would be constantly spiking your blood glucose levels up and down down down.. Probably doesn't have all that much impact on fat stores really but even still i would prefer a low G.I carb shake, that way you'd still get the necessary calories without constantly spiking and dropping your blood glucose levels.

Add some flaxseed oil to it to lower the GI/Insulin response or try mixing your protein with Icecream, Icecream has a low GI because of all the fat but then you didn't say you wanted low fat. Or just plain old milk. Also yoghurt, most fruits, Peanut butter, etc

It depends on how low you want to go. Do a google and you should be able to find something that suits.
