Creatine Monohydrate, Used by datE!

At my work there is a 1kg container of creatine monohydrate, about half empty, its used by date is year 2000, its been in the same place since i started working there 9months ago and never been touched, hence i was thinking about "burrowing" some, or the whole lot.

However, am concerned about the used by date!

Will it still be fine to use, or should i give it a miss?

I dont know what texture new creatine is, but this stuff is powdery crystal looking stuff, in case thats helps with if its any good or not...

I was told my a PT that as soon as you open a tub of creatine you have about 3 months to consume it before it goes off. It was either 3 or 6 months he said. either way I think a 7 year old tub that has been opened and way over its date cant be any good.

U could always try a bit and see what happens. I was told you would know if its off when you try it :toilet:

I wouldn't use it unless you wanted to stuff your kidneys. It will be pure creatinine by now.

Surely you can afford thirty odd bucks to stump up for some decent creatine?
