Well I guess it is about time I delurked. 8)

I'm really interested in bb and fitness although i don't intend to compete.

I currently work out about 5 days a week but cover all body parts in 4. I also do quite a bit of running and really enjoy it. But it seems running isn't considered a the best type of cardio training if you're interested in putting on muscle?? or so I have gathered from talk here and on other forums.

I have been a regular at the gym for years, I only got into serious weight training this year. So please bear with me if I ask simple questions. :shifty:

Hi Nancy, and welcome.

Running possibly isn't the best form of cardio for a bodybuilder - such long endurance exercise can increase cortisol levels and break down the muscle. Having said that, so can any type of exercise (whether it's endurance or not), and plenty of bodybuilders love running as well.

IMO, provided your diet's good enough, a bit of running won't hurt. :)
