Yeah i usually get one of those bags if im a bit skint on cash, still though there is cheaper protein that comes in tubs, Musashi 92% protein, i get it for $45, comes in a tub, 1kg, very high protein content obviously, tastes good to, cheapest and best value for money i had seen to date.

500g for 24.95 unflavoured? - you can get 1.5kg for about $65 in decent flavours - or 2kg for $80 to $90 from some places

BTW musashi 92% protein is a bit of a joke. From what I have heard Musashi measure their protein as a dry weight - ie all moisture extracted in a lab hence giving a higher percentage of protein as ooposed to every other protein on the market that gives its composition the honest way - with the moisture included which is impossible to remove in the real world. That's why all Musashi protein powders have a high protein percentage even when they use cheaper proteins in some of their formulas like hydrolysed lactalbumin (cheap whey protein) and the dreaded soy protein.

They have a couple of good products and good amino formulas but personally I stay away from their protein powders.

Havent heard that before either, would also be interested to hear more usualy i just go for a vanilla flavor. At the moment am using "aussie bodies" or something that sounds like it , a very mediocre product but I will see how it is when i have finished the tub, might try to write a review on it, if I can get the time !

Having been involved in some way or other with the "sports nut" industry for around 10 years now I've learnt all thoughts of things about some of the brands and the products out there. Some good things - some not so good.

I learnt this particular nugget a few years ago so things might have changed a bit since then.

However as an example their 85 WPC must either be the most pure whey protein concentrate around or the labeling is a bit off as it comes out at 85g of protein/100g yet has added dextrose (carbs) + flavouring and The Whey is somehow 90% protein yet uses a blend of WPC and WPI with whole milk powder, dextrose, flavouring, sweetener, emulsifier and vitamins and minerals added on top. Compare that to everything else on the market and the numbers don't quite add up.

I'm looking at getting some in bulk soon- just have to wait till pay day :P

It's $320 for 20kg. Unflavoured so it isn't the nicest, but none of it is. From what I've been told it's 30g per serve. I don't particually want 20kg of the stuff because: A) I can't afford it, and B) I can't store it!

Would anyone else in the Wellington region be interested in going halves or thirds?

Don't have a link sorry guys. The guy who trained me the other day uses it. It's basically the stuff we export to the US to the nutrition companies that flavour it and whatnot, and send it back for $40/kg. I'm short on cash just now but I'll get some info this week and post it up.
