Where to get dextrose

where do you all get your dextrose from?

do you buy a specific supplement or ????

i am asking because i want to add it post w/o. am i better off just adding oats?

anyone know any shops to buy dextrose from? (i know some supermarkets sell the little red/white containers of it but its a bit expensive)

i see pak n save no longer have the 1kg bags of dextrose and i cant find it in any liquor store

Yeah, Foodtown used to sell 1kg bags of dextrose, but I couldn't find any the last few times I've looked. So I bought some "brewing sugar" that came in a tin instead, thinking it would also be a powder - turns out it's a liquid like golden syrup. Still seems to be edible though.

I notice the nutritional stats say only half its carbs are sugar. I know I've read marketing from supplement companies that suggest this is a good thing, but I imagine that depends on what the other half of the carbs are made up of. And there's no indication of that on the tin... Any thoughts?
